April 2 Easter

Jere. 25-27

This is the season.

We recognise the reason.

God with the enemy deployed

Our temple will be destroyed.

For it has gone on so long.

You have continued to do wrong.

When the word speaks out.

But you continue to doubt.

That the Lord can save.

If you believe and behave.

He came to protect you.

It depends on what you do.

But if not.

Disaster is your lot.

Then one day you will return.

A lesson you had to learn.

That God only can save.

This will make you then brave.

All. 23:1-25

Lord the world has raised a cry.

That faith in you must die.

Though innocence they realise.

What they are doing denies.

What God is about to do.

If only we believe in you.

Ps. 72:1-11

The King has now come

Bringing justice to everyone.

To crush the oppressor.

For he will reign forever.

He will come and refresh.

So that we will see success

Our enemies will fall.

As we answer the Lords call.

Prov. 9:1-6

Make wisdom your home.

Then Gods word will be known.

April 1

Deaut 16:1-8

For the Lord you must honour.

As you remember the former

Those old days of slavery

And how he released me.

Now you can make a sacrifice.

As you follow his advice.

For now you know why.

A lamb had to die.

As the sun rises from east

Eat bread without yeast.

To recognise your need.

As on the lamb you do feed.

Lk. 22:39-71

Times are so bad

Makes Jesus terribly sad

Bit determine still.

To go out on a hill

For his unearned arrest.

And the disciples great test.

For what he was born.

Man has only scorn.

Peter denies.

His hope all but dies.

Jesus just will look.

As his honour men took.

Mth. 26:17:28

We come to the communion table.

There confess we are not able.

To ourselves overcome.

The evil one.

Without the sacrifice of Gods lamb.

Whose blood was spilt for man.

Recognising just why.

Although we would deny.

And that we would never

Disown him ever.

Jere. 22-24

God says to the religious must tell.

That I see you are not doing well.

So busy with your piety.

Forgetting the hurting in society.

The Lord who will destroy you all

Outsiders will bring about your fall

You will become captive to them.

Those you thought despicable men.

Both your leaders and you.

Apart from just a few.

Will never return.

As they don’t seem to ever learn.

God will not help those.

Who continually oppose.

Who do not live in accord.

To the will of the Lord.

What sorrow it is to see

Yet then some live righteously.

So as they come to seek me

I release them from captivity.

But I will say it again.

Even the priests leave a stain.

Their prophets sing a song.

That encourage what is wrong

Refusing to even listen.

Or give an admission.

To the failures they do.

That are in full view.

Like figs that are bad.

Yet some figs can be had.

To bring back to life.

From bitterness and strife.

But the bad figs illustrate.

The rebellious and their fate.

Lk. 22:1-38

How sad is the state we are in

As Gods followers desert him.

Who came to seek and to save.

Pray faith to now make us brave.

As he sits at table we see.

How we can now so bravely.

Overcome our own disaster.

By the sacrifice of our master.

Who as servant came.

Not seeking fortune or fame.

Telling us he also knows.

We will face highs and lows.

Ps. 6

Lord don’t rebuke me in anger

For I know l am in danger

Please do not delay.

Protect me I pray.

I struggle to now see.

For you seem to have left me.

May you now return.

So that I can again learn.

So others see the goodness of you.

Because of all that you now do.

Prov. 8:34-36

Joyful will be those who wait.

Outside the Lords gate.

March 30

Jeremiah. 18-21

Unless you evil forsake

A trouble does await.

For as the potter with clay.

The Lord can cause disarray.

In the lives of all.

A disastrous fall.

But they refuse to hear.

Say they don’t care.

Don’t want to hear what you say.

They say will go their own way.

Then they shut me out.

Lord makes me doubt.

If there is anything l can do.

When l am fighting for you.

Lk 21:34-38

But even then.

Watch for when.

The Lord will come

Come listen everyone.

Ps. 31

Lord l feel so forlorn.

It starting to feel thats norm.

I can only look to you.

Please help in all l do.

Even as l confess.

You are my rock and fortress.

For you come and always save.

Help me then to be brave.

Though shaky when l stand.

My future is in your hand.

Just need to be strong

And nothing will go wrong.

Prov. 8:32-33

Don’t listen to lies

Listen to Jesus to be wise.

march 29

Mth. 21:1-16

The Lord reigns.

Through sunshine and stormy rains

He comes riding in.

To the temple of Jerusalem.

We shout and acclaim.

Hosanna in his name.

Then he does decree.

You are desecrating me.

Then when he does heal.

We make of it a big deal.

Saying it is not right.

In our self righteous sight.

Then children cry out and say.

The Lord is here today.

We can only sigh.

As their childlessness we decry.

The Lord says so even still.

You ignore the word l fulfill.

Ps. 118:19-21

Open gates that I might enter.

Where Christ alone is centre.

Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer.

Now l know just how much you care.

As my faith you are renewing.

I know it is the Lords doing.

Bless the Lord I’ll make a fuss.

For his love shines upon us.

You are God and l will praise you.

I will exalt you in all that l do.

march 28

Jere. 14-17

As the world watches in dismay.

It’s the Lord holiness on display.

When man’s disobedience is seen.

They will know what it does mean

All prosperity they enjoyed.

Will suddenly be destroyed.

A drought will come.

A storm floods everyone.

Then fire takes all.

A scene that does appall.

No longer God protects.

Those servants he selects.

As they are caught up too.

Lord help, as only you can do.

For others, don’t bother to pray.

For the Lord can no longer delay.

The longterm consequence.

Of his people siting on the fence.

Neither being cold or hot.

Has got them where they have got.

Lord please help me cope.

I have given up all hope.

But this l still know.

You will lift us from this low.

For in my dream l saw.

You restore as once before.

In the meantime.

Concentrate on what is mine.

For destruction will still come.

Because what my people have done

But there will come a day.

When my people will say.

Instead of I’m born again.

Christ has again removed sins stain.

Lord you’re my strength in distress

Only you can bring success.

I must dedicate it to you.

Or destruction again will be due.

To my rebellious heart.

That can no longer be a part.

Of Gods kingdom.

That has invited everyone.

To enjoy success

As see God bless.

But only on the day.

We seek and find Gods way.

Lk. 21:25-33

When see destruction come

That terrifies everyone.

Look and you will see

Jesus has come to set free.

For those that are mine.

Will be able to see the sign.

That he is on his way.

Just like he did say.

For God does guarantee.

This is what you will see.

Ps. 69:19-36

Even as l so desperately.

Alone now separately.

Seek you oh Lord.

And live in accord

With you in my life.

Please deliver from present strife.

Though I may seem the only one.

Help me to now overcome.

That l might inherit the land.

Which you have given me to stand.

Prov. 8:30-31

With the architect at my side.

It is in him l delight to abide.

Jere. 10-13

The Lord says.

These are rebellious days

So don’t look to the world’s way.

For they are just straw and clay.

But you are so much more.

Power that nobody can ignore.

When our God we seek.

We will hear him speak.

But all those other things.

Destruction always brings.

But the people God has chosen.

There worship cold and frozen.

Lord I know I’m caught too.

My failure seen by you.

Release me Lord l pray.

I will your word relay.

That all will now again see.

Our worlds is a calamity.

Where once them you did prefer.

Now disaster on them you confer.

Look Lord they me condemn.

My very own townsmen.

But they will not survive.

Their faith in God not alive.

There is no longer fruit.

Though determined and resolute.

like worn and dirty linen.

Now only good for binnen

For they like to think

Have wine enough to drink.

But really they are sunk.

For it has just made them drunk.

A heart so full of pride.

Gods purpose now deride.

So disaster will come.

Upon just everyone.

Lk. 21:20-24

When all of this you see

It is then it’s you must flee.

To the mountain of safety

Until the Lord sets you free

Ps. 69:1-18

Flood waters about to drown.

The the word of God is renown

For you see the trouble we’re in.

Because of mine and others sin.

They all think I’m a fool.

What I’m doing no longer cool.

Come Lord redeem me

From my enemy.

Prov. 8:27-29

I have always been there.

When see Gods creative care

March 26

Jere. 7-9

It is in our very own temple.

That this world we now resemble.

Not keeping apart.

Being impure of heart.

What disaster will overcome.

Me with everyone.

But the Lord does still say.

If you stop now and turn away.

I will come and rescue you.

Cleanse and renew.

But don’t you be a fool.

Listening to those who think it cool.

Who would come and deceive all.

So they do things that are evil.

But you must stand and obey.

For this is the only way.

Must leave and come back to me

To be safe and to be free.

But you have just gone on and on.

Living lies you know are wrong.

Not even sorry or sad.

When behaving so bad.

The Lord looks down and cries.

As all my hope dies.

Seems l can never win.

And overcome my sin.

Lk. 31:1-19

Even though have little to give.

I know in Christ I live.

Although evidently

The world is against me.

He will tell me what to say.

So others will learn today.

God protects all those

Who have the courage to oppose.

Ps. 39:13-22

I am deaf to their threat.

Their expectations have not met

I have nothing to say.

Lord come please don’t delay.

Come Lord Jesus come.

That l might defeat the evil one.

Prov. 8:24-26

Jesus will absolutely never

Leave, he’s been here forever

Jere. 4-6

The opportunity is still there.

For the Lord is right here.

So turn now to him.

Seek truth turn from sin.

Then blessed you will be.

For everybody to see.

But your world will instead.

Into destruction be led

So plough up your hard heart.

And then you may again start.

See the time has now come

For Gods judgment on everyone.

What a terrible day.

They refused all God did say.

Looked stupid in the worlds sight.

Refusing to do what is right

So ruin will come.

On everyone.

Though they say the Lord lives.

And that he forgives.

Everything is destroyed.

For the Lord is annoyed.

Then it will be seen.

How foolish we have been.

Despite how good our God is.

We have forgotten his faithfulness

Run right away, run.

Flee from the rebellious one.

For just as expected.

The west has been rejected.

Lk. 20:27-47

The intellectuals always try.

The resurrection to deny.

But history tells us.

Our ancestors are with us.

So beware of liberal intellectuals.

Seeking praise the stupid fools.

Ps. 38:1-12

It is too hard to explain.

My feelings of pain.

As now unexpectedly

All hope has gone for victory

Lord hear my prayer.

For I know that you care.

Prov. 8:22-23

The Lord there from the beginning.

Allows me to know l am winning.

Jere. 1-3

The words of Jeremiah.

Speak of Gods people’s desire.

To constantly seek gods.

That are totally at odds.

With worshiping only him.

Who our salvation is in.

How desperate are we.

As we look around and see.

Those all around

In sin are bound.

Yet even when.

We are like them

The Lord will deploy.

An enemy to destroy.

All that we hold dear

For it is God we should fear.

God says won’t you listen to me.

Again l can set you free.

Yet even though you hear this.

You don’t seek righteousness.

Doing what you have always done.

Mixing with the ungodly one.

Not able to ever return.

And from your failings learn.

Yet my Lord is still

Faithful and merciful.

If you come and confess.

The Lord will still bless.

You can have a new start.

With leaders with his heart.

A place where Gods throne

Is recognised and known.

But we should always recognise.

How once we did despise.

The word of the Lord.

That we continually ignored.

Lk 20:20-26

Religious self-righteous men.

Will once again then.

Try to trick you.

Landing you in a stew.

For really they you despise.

But in the Lord you can be wise.

For there is power in his name.

They go away in total shame.

Ps. 55:12-23

It is friends not the enemy.

Who I have come against me.

Would snuff out my candle.

Lord it is so hard to handle.

But as l confess

The Lord answers my distress.

Despite what they say.

His love is on display.

Prov. 8;19-21

Better than gold God does bless us.

He has overflowing treasures.
