July 22

Zephaniah. 1-3

The day will surely come, when a righteous holy God will judge everyone.

Repent while you can, you unrighteous man.

For there is no people who have truly done right, in our Gods sight.

From those who did always oppose , to Gods children he chose.

All people went their own way, right up to this very day.

But there will be the individual , who Gods will fulfil.

A remnant that God will save, because they did behave.

Who Jesus dwells within, restored and blessed by him

Mth. 27:45-56

Like when Christ died on the cross, our whole world a disastrous loss.

Cry unto the Lord oh where? Why aren’t you here?

But then my whole world he does shake, from this disaster l awake.

The curtain is torn, I see my hope reborn.

As l see I’m in company, with the saints who went before me.

As many watch on, wondering if I have really won.

Ps 65

Praise awaits you oh Lord, forever worshiped and adored.

For we have only won, because of all that you have done.

What a disaster we were in, our world was full of sin.

Blessed are those you choose, they have believed the good news.

For you are our only hope , in this world we now can cope.

We should make quite a fuss, as we see you bless us.

Prov. 19:5-8.

When we feel all a disaster , look to Jesus our master.

July 21

2Tim. 1-4

The amazing Paul’s story, who only focused on Gods glory.

Though a prisoner for Christ, in everything he still did fight.

For Gods kingdom, that all men in Christ would be one.

Though feeling alone, determined to make known.

That Christ is risen, though he is in prison.

For God has not filled us with timidly and fear, for his power , love, and self- control l wear.

Don’t be ashamed of him, who your faith abides in.

For you know all Christ has done, the victories he has won.

Ever though feel so weary, I know Christ still cares for me.

So hold onto what you know is true, so that Gods good works can be shown through you.

Though so many friends have deserted me, some still help independently.

Know you will probably suffer too, because of what for Christ you do.

But in the very end of life, we are released from this world of strife.

As you too stand firm, you will one day earn.

As you always shy, away from what makes the Spirit die.

For if in anything we lack, the devil will set a trap.

To entice you away, in this the last day.

For in others you will see. That they deservedly.

Come to such grief, because of their wrongful belief.

You must always endure, with a faith and life that is pure.

Doing what is right. for it is for Christ daily we fight.

I know it is a real struggle , as others constantly burst our bubble.

But I have friends still here, who are not filled with fear.

Though the the world around them, is filled with uncaring men.

Mth. 27:33-44

Christ on the cross suffered too, we see what his enemies do.

Offer him bitter vinegar, his dignity and body scar.

Scoffing they delightfully, said what is in it for me.

Saying the King of the Jews , has received his dues.

Surrounded by those, who violently did oppose.

He hung lonely there, seemed not loved no one near.

Ps. 14

Only fools say there is no God, you who believe are strange just odd.

No one does what is good, in the neighbourhood.

But even then God will protect, those he does select.

Prov. 19:1-4

Make my priority, to see Christs life in me.

July 20

1Tim. 4-6

In these last days, the world still denies Gods ways.

Even the believers will have rules, that make us look like fools.

But don’t waste time arguing about these. Search for truth and never cease.

To use the gift you have been given, in the particular scene you live in.

Helping all those who, are not as fortunate as you.

Always being aware, some are not necessarily under your care.

Supporting those , leaders God chose.

Careful who you promote, who lead because of your vote.

That they live in accord, to the ways of the Lord.

As even as slaves should do, their masters too.

Some will say why, should I to myself die.

Because true godliness is meant, to bring total contentment.

When seek riches in other things, only sadness and problems brings.

So you must persevere , for the coming of the Lord is near.

Trust in God alone, that his glory in heaven may be known.

Guard you heart as you believe, then Gods promise you will receive.

Mth. 27:27-32

When others mock you, remember how they mocked Jesus too.

Crucified him, who there was no fault in.

Made one who did on-look. Carry the cross as they took.

Christ our Lord away, for it was their day.

Ps. 146.

I will praise the Lord forever, I am determined to never.

Put confidence in what the powerful say, as l seek only to live Gods way.

Their ideas will fade out, and in the end there will be no doubt.

Our God cares for those , who the world seems to oppose.

That our only hope is , our faith in Jesus.

Prov. 18:23-24

By their actions I will see, who the real friends are to me.

July 19 Sunday

Mth 5:20. 2Cor 4:8-1. Roms. 12:14

When persecuted for doing right ,you will be blessed in Gods sight.

With troubles come galore, Jesus has known this also before.

As we share in his strife , he becomes part of our life.

So though men persecute you, say may God bless you too.

July 18

1Tim:1-3

Listen to what Gods word says, it should govern all of your ways,

If you are a true disciple of mine. Don’t spend all of your time.

Discussing law and theory, Christ says just concentrate on me.

Live a life that is wholesome, so you are seen as a righteous one.

Despite what you have been, the grace of God can be seen.

For it is in faith you behave, to honour Christ who did save.

That wherever you see a need. You might be qualified to lead.

So that all people might see. The God who to them is mystery.

Mth. 27:11-26

Like Jesus we are on trial. Others still accuse all the while.

Nothing you can say to them, who are such deceitful men.

Even those who deep down know, are afraid that they might show.

Sympathy for me, though in authority.

They too now condemn, to satisfy the views of evil men.

Ps. 140

Lord rescue me from people, whose hearts dwell on what’s evil.

For you God previously rescued me, from all my troubles you set me free.

Do not let them now have their own way. They refuse to follow what they know you say.

Though their lives will finish disastrously, may your goodness be shown to me.

Prov. 18:21-22

What you now say, controls your day.

July 17

Nahum. 1-3

The Lord is so strong, he will destroy the enemy throng.

Though powerful in our sight, they cannot stand against his might.

Destroys all who evil propose, and the people of God oppose.

The power that now earth rules, will one day look like fools.

In heaven and the world’s eyes, as their control falters and dies.

Mth. 27:1-10

When it seems the power does belong, to the powerful that do wrong.

That the faithful on the day, Turn and Jesus then betray.

Nobody is there, That seems to really care.

What does it all mean? This is a disaster it would seem.

Ps. 133

What blessing for you , when others also knew.

The blessing of the Lord, and live in accord.

With your and Gods views, it feels such good news.

Prov. 18:17-20

Arguments wisdom can overcome. To the satisfaction of everyone.

July 16

Eph 4:17-6:24

Live lives honourably, that the people around you can see,

the righteousness of God , though it may seem odd.

To the world around you. Don’t let your emotions control what you do.

When steal be angry or swear, the Holy Spirit is not there.

Loving, tender hearted and kind, reveal a Christ mind.

Don’t joke and join in, with the talk of worldly men.

For there is no excuse, if Gods purity you abuse.

Awake and take delight , in Gods revealing light.

Always trying to fulfil, Gods good and perfect will.

For every relationship of yours. Should follow and reveal Gods laws.

While the enemy delights to see , if he can defeat me.

So put on truth to learn. Peace to discern.

Faith to know, as well as salvation wherever you go

So you always live it , in the Holy Spirit.

Praying for each other, for they are your brother.

Remembering those in prison, in their own God given mission.

Peace be with you. Gods grace in all you do.

Mth. 26:57-75

While Jesus is ridiculed in front of me, and l follow so timidly. While he is accused unjustly.

I so often him deny. To live and tell a total lie.

To what l know is true. That Lord I am ashamed of you.

What disaster l have been, too scared to be seen.

As a disciple of yours, Oh my grief outpours.

Ps. 123

I lift my eyes to you Lord. The only thing I can afford.

In this Life of mine , so l can feel fine.

For l too feel scoffed at, When with others sat.

Prov. 18:13-16

Be ready to hear, not just to jeer.

July 15

Eph 1-4:16

Listen to what Gods word said, as in peace you lay on your bed.

For he has blessed us within, through the sacrifice given.

Who now is lifted up, That we might in his presence sup.

With he who promised long ago, that all people should know.

His amazing love and redemption, despite the trouble we seem in.

How good it is to see, God sets everyone of us free.

Despite who we both were, his penalty we never incur.

God so rich in mercy, for the whole world to see.

For only by his grace , can l come into that space.

He brought different people together, In his Spirit we are birds of a feather.

All to live as an example , as Gods holy temple.

Even the weak man, sees the mysteries of Gods plan.

So please don’t lose heart, because you don’t feel that smart.

For Christ dwells inside, in your body he does abide.

That you might experience, The power of his presence.

So make every effort to be, a life lived righteously.

To do that special deed, that those around you so need.

No longer immature, but in Christ grow in stature.

Mth 26:47-56

Suddenly it all happened, our hopes were all flattened.

The enemy came to me , defeated we seemed to be.

But Christ says not so , I am with you wherever you go.

What ever it now seems, it is not by this worlds means.

Though now so desperately, the present circumstances you flee.

The victory will be mine. Wait and see all will be fine.

Ps. 118:19-29

Open the gates Lord that I might come in , to that amazing world you live in.

For I finally can see, it is you alone can give victory.

This is the day the Lord has made , my hope in him shall never fade.

Though others reject, Fulfilled I fully expect.

For Christ gives all things, secretly my heart sings.

Prov. 18:10-12

The name of the Lord is a strong fence , The world thinks riches the best defence.

July 14

Obadiah

The Lord does condemn , brothers of christian men,

Who choose , to abuse .

When others are in trouble , because God has burst their bubble.

But one day he will restore, that troubled brother like before,

And the brothers who lived next door, will be heard of no more.

Malachi.

Even amoung Gods chosen people, those who don’t feel to keep all,

The sacraments that honour him, that rescued you from their sin.

Going their own arrogant way, God will call to account one day.

And then raise the church that stood firm, from history they did learn.

To honour the Lord, doing everything in accord.

With his will in their life, That God redeems them from strife.

Mth. 26:36-56

We all went out to pray, Jesus leading the way.

But we went to sleep, not vigilant enough to watch keep.

So our relationship with God is right, to have strength for the upcoming fight.

Convinced how strong were we, but the Lord said we shall wait and see.

When trouble comes the churches way, That will be the reckoning day.

When you will face the test, of what in life you think is best.

Ps. 110:1-18

The Lord is in total control, of each and every soul.

Right to present date , he has been in control of the church’s fate.

Always he is here, we are under his eternal care.

If to defeat the enemy, must honour him who set us free.

Prov. 18:7-9

Easy to listen to what others say, It is harder to find the truth and the way.

July 13

2Sam. 22-24

The Lords ways are perfect, though life has seemed hectic.

Those battles had to be won, when all is said and done.

But he has given me the victory, he has always been there for me.

Nothing has caused defeat, as l was helped by Gods elite.

Each one in a particular way, saved me on the day.

I so wanted to prove it was me that was strong, though knew that was in Gods eyes quite wrong.

The Lord revealed this fault, for it caused injury and insult.

So I needed the sacrifice of Him , to finally allow me to win.

Mth 26: 26-35

As disciples of the Lord, his sacrifice cannot be ignored.

As we gather with him, away from the outside din.

Then we have to go, knowing there could be trouble and woe.

Thinking we are so strong now, that we would never disavow.

The Lord as our King, even if costs everything. We glibly sing.

Ps. 118:1-19

Give thanks for God is good, for l have understood.

His faithfulness lasts forever. Even when l felt not so clever.

To the Lord l cried, then saw how he supplied.

So what can mere men do to me, when the Lord has set me free.

Better the Lord to believe in. If you want to always win.

Prov. 18:4-6

Wise words like deep water, keep you afloat when you falter.
