2Chron. 19-21

When Gods appointed leader returned, it was then from Gods word he learned.

He had been so wrong, in supporting those who to the world belong.

Yet then he went out , serving the Lord so there was no doubt.

That all his people understood, we must serve God for our own good.

Judging right in every way, Gods righteousness to display.

Then he was horrified to find the fact , a huge army was about to attack.

He cried before the Lord, this great threat cannot be ignored.

Then he was told , in God you can be bold.

Go out to meet the enemy, you will see Gods delivery.

So while marching out singing in praise, the Lord destroyed all opposition within days.

Their riches he said are mine, so returned home feeling sublime.

But then all over again , joined those who treated God with disdain.

Their hopes all destroyed. For God was annoyed.

A new leader then appointed, Gods people he so disappointed.

Finally to die, and we all know why.

Mark 6:14-29

The word soon spread, to the authority, who always refused to bow the knee.

Their destiny as lord and master, was just turning out a disaster.

As they decided to kill, the one God used for his to fulfil

The purpose of Gods kingdom, recognised by everyone.

Ps. 119: 73-80

You made and created in me, a desire to hear Gods word joyfully.

That many will come to admire, the Holy Spirit fire.

That sets all men free, in Gods love and mercy.

Prov. 21:14-26

Come for secretly, God will set free.

Aug. 14

2Chron. 16-18

From victory to defeat, Gods purpose no longer meet.

When seek support from those, who all things of God oppose.

No confidence to now believe. Gods deliverance could receive.

Then deny it was your fault, Gods blessings brought to a halt.

Then a new leader came to power , Gods kingdom to blossom and flower.

As he led his people to finally see, praise of God made them debt free.

Making peace with your Christian brother, even though they worshipped another.

Persuaded even to go out to fight though Gods word said it’s not right.

Heard but believed a lie. You had to wonder why?

Believers involved in the defeat, Gods purpose impossible to meet.

If join in battle with those, who deliberately Gods word oppose.

Mk 6:1-13

When you return home, where your background is known.

And people now see, God through you working powerfully.

They refuse to believe, and Gods message to receive.

Because they saw a carpenter instead, yet in Christ I had been led.

To heal and restore. They refused chose to largely ignore.

So Jesus did not delay. Saying to us now it’s your day.

His will to supply your every need, as you let Christ lead.

To heal and restore, so the world just cannot ignore.

That Christ is right here, forever to care

Ps. 19:65-72

I can never moan, for Gods goodness I have always known.

Teaching me to know, he truly love me so.

I believe if Christ in you, he will teach you all things to do.

Though I wandered away. I follow Lord again today.

God you are so good, the arrogant have never understood.

Their hearts so dull they do not see. That even suffering is good for me.

Prov. 21:10-13

The evil and unmerciful, Will their own destruction fulfil.

August 13

2Chron. 12-15

There remained devision, but some remained in mission.

Yet were unfaithful to their Lord. Not living fully in accord.

With Christs will, Gods purpose to fulfil.

But then cry again to the Lord, and again God did them afford.

A great victory , that made them free.

But still there was this war, with the brother they had before.

That fought with them anew disparaging the God they knew.

When the fight carried on. It strengthened faith in God that we relied upon.

Establishing Gods kingdom, in a time of neutral freedom.

Despite an outside attack , given victory as we fought back.

Mark. 5:31-43

In the middle of the crowd, I wept as I bowed,

Before the Lord who had healed, my total faith in him now sealed.

But then another’s faith died, as their hope in Christ died.

But Jesus said, it is not dead.

Come with me, from death l will set you free.

I will raise you to new health just keep it to yourself.

Oh Lord you are my delight, I cannot keep that from the worlds sight.

Ps. 119:57-64

Lord you are mine, if follow you I will be fine.

Evil people try to delay, you having your way.

I rise at midnight to thank you, for victory in what I do.

Your unfailing love I see, teach me all your ways I plea.

Prov. 21-7-9

The violence of the wicket sweeps them away. It is lonely to follow the Lords in his way.

August 11

2Chron. 8-11

God establishes his earthly kingdom, where riches on earth can be won.

Wisdom gold great wealth seen, revealing what being children of God could mean.

The world came to see, how God gave wisdom and riches unbelievably.

Amazed at Gods temple, that also was an example.

Of all that my God is, magnificence so glorious.

Then when that era ended, the new leader proudly offended.

The people he did rule, arrogantly thinking he was so cool.

Dividing Gods kingdom, rebellion against Gods chosen one.

For they needed to learn , the people’s trust they needed to earn.

To again become strong, for to God they did still belong.

Just like the reformation, it is really about a godly relation.

Mark. 5:21-30

As Jesus moved on, a priest came from.

A place of need, looking for Jesus to lead.

To heal and restore, health like was before.

Then on the way, on that very day.

The desperate came to touch, for they had heard so much.

About the healing power of Jesus, for even the weak amoung us.

Then we had to admit, when we did feel it.

That even the likes of me, can be disease totally free.

Ps. 119 :49-56

Remember Lord your promise to me. Comfort so I can be free.

To meditate on your ways, all of my days.

My life task, doing all that you ask.

To join with all others, in Christ now as brothers.

Prov. 21:4-6

Haughty eyes a proud heart. From presence of God depart.

August 11

2Chron. 5-7

The Lords work is done, through the Father’s Son.

An amazing temple, it makes us tremble.

Before the glory of the Lord, who we worshiped and adored.

A place where he, always showed love to me.

When in trouble and strife , came into my life.

Where I was sanctified, as the world in me died.

God is good his love will last forever. His presence nothing can sever.

Praise the Lord who kept his promise. Gave from the riches that are his.

For he has made us his king, when we obey in everything.

When in trouble because of the way we live, come down from heaven Father and forgive.

When you see me, defeated by the enemy.

When see drought, all about.

Famine and disease, that makes me ill at ease.

Getting what we deserve , for a holy God we serve.

Then even strangers will see, from my troubles you set me free.

When I seem in exile , be with me all the while.

Please bring me right back, help overcome the enemies attack.

It is then l understood , the Lord is is so very very good,

Forever I will see , his presence right here with me.

Then the Lord does say, if you be humble as you pray

Turn from your wicked way, l will give you victory everyday.

My glory you will display, amazing the people of your day.

But if you turn away. my salvation I will delay.

Then people will say, his faith did fade away.

What a disaster , he forgot his Lord his master.

Mark. 5:11-20

When Jesus enters in, we are cleansed of this life of sin.

All evil in us fled, because we heard what Jesus said.

When people all around, saw salvation I had found.

Though I now was free, they told Jesus go away for we see.

The power of your presence, for us just makes no sense.

Then Jesus said but I’m to stay and show , that all that come to believe may know.

So will also live in accord, to the word of the Lord.

Ps. 119:41-48

Lord as you show me your great love, help me give this worlds ways the shove.

As your truth I live, and see all you give.

As l devote myself to all l have heard, from reading truth in your Word.

Prov. 21-1-3

My hearts desire will flow, towards the Lord I want to know.

August 10

2 Chron. 1-4

To the Lord I belong, he chose me made me strong.

What do you want he did ask. Lord I am weak help me with your task.

Because you ask that of me, the Lord said all people will see.

Wisdom from above, and protection of my love.

So then I set out to build, a temple to be filled.

With the glory of the Lord, that just could not be ignored.

For you gave me a amazing plan, To build with a skilled craftsman

Intricate in its design, a place the Lord said was mine.

Mark 5:1-10

When in the presence of the Lord, his holiness cannot be ignored.

All evil is cast out , We are left in no doubt.

Of the Lords power and might, to win every fight.

Ps. 119;33-40

Lord teach me what you decree, so with understanding I will see.

Come show and fill my heart, where true happiness does start.

An eagerness for more of you, rather than riches that fade from view.

For I long to obey, what you say, every day.

Prov. 20:28-30

Love and faithfulness make me pure. But young and old must trouble endure.

Aug. 9

Gen 22:14. Ps 37:25. John. 3:16-17

On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided, my relationship always totally one sided.

When I was young now I am old, he has never just left me out in the cold.

Shown by the Fathers amazing love, by sending his Son from heaven above.

So that everyone who believes, will never perish but receives.

Eternal life, freedom from strife.

He came not to judge but to help us win, To give victory in this life we live in.

August 8

When I think of all those who were strong, who have protected my treasure in God for so long.

The leaders in the Lords battle, as some looked after my crops and cattle.

To many for me to count , only the Lotd knows the true amount.

Surrounded by those who were wise, to give me such very good advice.

As l wanted so much to build, a temple where Gods glory would be filled.

But I know it could not be so. For the Lord has said no.

For where I stand , constant fighting has been in demand.

But God has given us his Son, so heaven on earth will one day come

It is he who will build a peaceful place, where all can meet God face to face.

From his riches he will give. Far more than where we now live.

The place of our Lord, where we can live in accord.

To the righteousness he gave, as l live far beyond the grave.

All these riches that are now mine, will point to my God divine.

So the next generation, in their situation, will be filled with adoration.

Mark. 4:26-41

God is the farmer I am the seed, it’s a mystery how I can grow to lead.

That many would gather together, to glorify God forever.

Yet now l have to face this storm , feeling forsaken though in Christ reborn.

I cry to the Lord please awake, he says for goodness sake.

Don’t you realise too , God is always with you.

So as he makes still the wind and waves, so I will be still and believe what his word says.

I had to admit surprise, for he is so much more than I realise.

Ps. 119:25-32

Lord now I look like a fool. Perhaps one day it will seen to be cool.

For l desire above all, to be totally faithful.

Determined to live for you, in everything I do.

Prov. 20:25-27

The promises to God you make, must never be foolish, or shown to be fake.

August 7

1 Chron. 23-26

We each have a designated role to play , Special to us on the Lords day.

We are given the nod , as children of God

To carry out the duty to us assigned, important to complete the work God designed.

To come and worship before him. To glorify who our faith is in.

Each with a holy assignment, that alone for each of us was meant.

To fill a specific role. As a part of the whole.

Mark. 4:13-25

If you can’t understand simple things, how when Jesus great truth brings.

For his word will fall, where unbelief will stall.

Where it does not suit , shrivels with no deep root.

Where soil full of thorn, faith overcome and forlorn.

But rich the harvest , where soil is the best.

Like a lamp turns night to day, reveals the Lords true way.

So pay close attention to the word you are given, then the Lord will reveal even more in this life you live in.

Ps. 119:17-24

Oh Lord be good to me, that I might even greater truths see.

Though feel a stranger and alone, I want all truth to be known.

Though some scorn and insult, help me to stand firm without fault.

Prov 20:22-24

Don’t worry when others say you are wrong, for it is to the Lord you belong.

August 6

1Chron. 19-23

When made to look a fool , embarrassingly. Revealing they were my real enemy.

The Lords army will defend, the attack from those we did befreind.

With a clever strategy , but mainly with Gods help we could see.

Then we could subdue, all those we knew.

Fighting for the Lords kingdom, defeating all opposition.

Though our strength was in the Lord. We needed to be assured.

That we were real strong, though told that was wrong.

Confronted by disaster, we repented before Christ our master

For though we were brave, he alone came to save.

Just build an altar of sacrifice, that all you need now that will suffice.

Made us so want to build something new, a temple Lord just honouring you. .

But Lord your word says, this cannot happen in my days.

For blood tears and toil. Would my heavenly temple spoil.

For it will be a place of glorious rest and peace, where all sorrow shall forever cease.

Built by the Fathers Son, showing his glory to everyone.

Who are chosen for that day. Each in Gods temple have a part to play.

Mark 4:1-12

If listen to what Jesus said, the spirit inside you will be fed.

But some will hit dry ground, never again to be found.

Some fell on shallow soil, where the heat of the day did spoil.

Some stuck amoung the thorn, tender vulnerable feeling forlorn.

But some heard Gods word, the spirit within them stirred.

Producing an everlasting crop, that grew and just would not stop.

Some will hear this and understand, some will never see what God has planned.

Ps. 119:9:16

Lord your word is everything, salvation and understanding it does bring.

It is all l live for, the only place l saw.

How you could direct each day, along the straight and narrow way.

Prov. 20:19-21

Life will challenge you, in everything you do.
