Ruth. 1-4

Caught in a drought, so go wandering about.

Ends in despair, feel God doesn’t care.

Yet there is one, who likes what I’ve done.

Return to my home, where my disaster is known.

Then at the harvest, we are given the best.

For my redeemer is there, I am under his care.

Then when I approach, says listen and I will coach.

And you will then see, you can become family.

That your children will too, be redeemed just like you.

For your family tree, will glorify me.

Mth. 11:1-19

I’m in prison these days, l have heard of Jesus’s ways.

But does not see right , from my prison site.

But then they come to tell, Gods kingdom is doing well.

That in my own time, l did just fine.

Even though, many did not know.

For judging Jesus and me, saw such a discrepancy.

But it is the fruit that each display, That shows Gods eternal way.

Ps. 88:1-9

What a disaster I feel, to my God I appeal.

l cannot cope, have given up all hope.

Am as good as dead, as l lie on my bed.

No friends to console, our dig me from this hole.

Lord l appeal to you, my only hope in view.

Prov. 13:1-3

Careful what you do, then God can renew you.

May 17 Sunday

Esther 4:9-5:3 Mth 11:28 Heb 4:14-16

We are with our King, who is powerful and can do anything.

Am I too scared to ask, to help for such an impossible task.

But perhaps the Lord knows me, and he now wants to see.

Do I have the faith to fast and pray. To see if he will save the day.

I then went into my King, said Lord will you help me with this thing.

Amazingly he then replied , anything you ask won’t be denied.

Mth. 11:28

Jesus said if weary with burdens all you need to do, is come to me and I will help you out of your stew.

Heb 4;14-16

We have a High Priest Jesus is his name. He is now in heaven but when on earth suffered the same.

Though we feel so weak, he understands so him we should seek.

So let us come boldly to his throne, and let our request to him be known.

Then we will come to see, his amazing love and mercy.

May 16. today

2Peter. 1-3

The faithful in faith grow, the more that they do know

That he gives us everything, when our lives are him honouring.

So Gods commands we obey, as we live out each day.

Moral, truth knowing , with self control, always enduring, and with love , Obedient to God above.

Work hard at these each and every day. Then your faith will grow, for I must go on my way.

Today you can be so bold. Not just because prophets of old.

But because of what was revealed to me, You can live confidently.

Not believing all those, who Gods word deliberately oppose.

Who he will destroy, while we will always enjoy.

Gods provision in every way, while their world collapses in disarray

Truth they use to know, but their life now full of woe.

For the rebellion from Gods ways, shows we are in the last days

This world cannot avoid, being totally destroyed.

All these things you should know. So let your faith in God grow.

Mth. 10:32-42

When we acknowledge Jesus publicly, his deliverance we will see.

But if God we deny, our faith will eventually die.

Even when it means, we lose those close to us it seems.

If you refuse to take up your cross, great will be your real loss.

Gods servants receive reward, And you too will get an award,

Ps. 18;30-50

Gods ways are perfect his promises true, I have seen it constantly in all that I do.

When the enemy came to fight, God gave me victory, to my hearts delight.

My God l will praise, all of my days.

Prov. 12:25-28

Worry weighs down, cheerfulness lifts up. Godliness your faith grows, but laziness it will stop.

May 15

1Peter 1-5

God chose you from afar, making you a star.

Through the blood of Jesus, he has now cleansed us.

So priceless his gift is, this salvation of his.

Though his face I cannot now see. One day I will be with him eternally.

He has been talked about for years, how he takes care of all my fears.

So wonderful for me to see, so now as Gods child I want to be.

Holy just like him, in the life on earth I live in.

For it was such a heavy price. not gold but Jesus’s sacrifice.

Just as love was shown to you, now show love to God and other people in what you do.

You must be seen to never, disobey Gods word that lives forever.

For Christ is the living stone, who has made the truth known.

Though the world did reject him, he is the rock I put all hope in.

Some stumble and fall, but you must answer Gods call.

So then people will begin to say. God is seen in him today.

Free yet one who behaves, knowing we are Gods slaves.

Paid for a heavy price, so we could now look nice.

As we treat our family, well, wherever they may be.

As well as a christian brother, you must love one another

Turning from evil and gossip. as Jesus you join to worship.

Though they may speak against you, Keep Christ in your mind view.

For his main mission, is to bless and save those who will listen.

Though it won’t all be rosy. or suffering free.

As you the rulers you need to obey, in this their last day

This will be your story. As the Lord comes in all his glory.

Mth 10:21-31

Their will come a day, when your closes will betray,

That they have no faith in you, because of what you do.

It is what you must expect, Jesus had the exact same effect.

What he now tells you in secret, must shout allowed you believe it.

Though a heavy price may be paid, do not be afraid.

For God will protect you, though just small in the world’s view.

Ps. 18:1-29

I love you Lord for you first loved me, Helped me overcome the enemy.

Though all seemed lost, you came an paid the cost.

What an amazing sight, the earth shook as all evil took flight.

When l did determine , to only serve him.

Prov. 12:23-24

The wise know how to behave. The fools to the world become a slave

May 14

Luke 24:50-53. The Ascension.

Jesus now has left, but I am no longer bereft.

For as he blessed me, I am now stress free

Now I just worship him. With the joy that’ flows out from within.

All of my days, are just filled with praise.

Acts. 1;1-11. The promise of the Holy Spirit.

The word of God says just wait until told. Have faith until the Holy Spirit makes you bold.

We wonder when that time will come. When there will be total freedom for everyone.

But that is mot anymore our worry. No longer feeling for ourselves sorry.

We are told to spread out good news to tell, despite it may seem that all is not well.

Now he has to teach us for we have so much to learn, before Christ our Saviour will ever return.

Eph. 4:7-10. Christ centred.

When Christ ascended we could now say. Finally in the world Gods purpose was on display.

For Christ came down here below , Gods amazing love to show.

Then to heaven Christ has returned. Our salvation he has earned.

Assured now that he is the one. Who will establish Gods kingdom.

For in love he descended. Now given total authority in heaven, to where he ascended.

For it is God the Father’s final will, Christs love the entire universes will fill.

May 13

Deut 32-34

Lord the opposition, is full of superstion.

That leaves them in a muddle, and leads to only trouble.

Then when their faith shall die, and they come and ask why.

The salvation of God they will see, as he says you must have no other Gods but me.

So no enemy can stand, against us in the promised land.

Remember all that you have heard, and learnt, then pass on God’s holy word.

For I am about to die, I accept and I know why.

But the promised land God has me shown, The land of promise he’s always known.

Now to bless each one of you, as you go on and inherit something new.

Daniel a righteous man, will lead the others into Gods plan

Laura like a frisky mare, strong but full of Gods care.

Anita so very clever, will serve our God forever.

Toni’s only child Ben, When righteous will serve God then

Hudson will be a man, that will fulfil Gods greater plan.

Billie she is pure, in her God her faith is sure.

Isaiah a lonely man, does what no other can.

Violet a blooming flower, full of strength in Gods power.

Zac can be amazing, A new trail in God blazing

What a blessing you all are, when seen from afar.

Now my desert journey is at an end, into this new world, you I send

Mth 10:11-20

So now I send you out, for you know what life’s about.

As you travel on, see Gods blessing come upon.

Those who believe you, though some will refuse to.

In fact some are real bad news, seek to destroy and abuse.

But you must help even them believe. By the words of God you receive.

Ps. 49.

Listen all you people, you think you are so feeble.

The rich think they are strong, but they will be proved wrong.

They boasts in riches they now make, yet to the next world never can take.

But l have no such fear, l will forever remain in the Lords care.

They may boast in their pride, but it all means nothing when they have died.

Prov. 12:20-22

If deceit fills a heart, they will never know God, right from the start

Deut. 30-32

The choice will always be yours, God will open or shut doors.

According to how you behave, he will destroy or he will save.

Sooner or later you will break the law, but the Lord will restore, giving much more.

When you return to him, who you have always believed in.

He will totally change your heart, as you make a brand new start.

There will be joy in heaven, when you return to the God you believe in.

You can choose life, or you can choose strife.

Just make up your mind, if God you are to find.

The rich blessings God has for you, as your enemies he will subdue.

A new leader now to lead the way, for the old must give way.

So courageously go out, you must have no doubt.

Knowing the Lord can give victory, he will never abandon me.

As I write this poem, l want it in the future to be known.

That l already can see, what a failure you will be.

For though to the faith you belong. We have always continued to do wrong.

But then when you take stock, you will realise the Lord has been you rock.

What a fool l have been, after the goodness of God I have seen.

Thinking it was really me, my strength that made me free.

Turning away, to the idols of the day.

What a fool l am. Such a despicable man.

Mth. 10:1-10

But then Jesus called his disciples to him, told them how they could win,

With nothing of their own, He will make his power known.

To heal and restore, those who have known the power of God before

Ps. 62

I wait quietly before the Lord. He is my rock who others have ignored.

I so often feel so weak, but it is the Lord I always seek.

I want it to be always known, victory comes from him alone.

Every day it is in my mind, in him alone hope l can find.

Prov. 12:18-19

Cutting remarks hurt and steal, From truth comes wisdom to heal.

May 11

Deut 28-29

If we fully obey, blessing will come our way.

If disobedient In what I do, turning away from the Jesus I knew.

What disaster l will see, totally surrounding me.

Others will see and know why, you suffered and nearly did die.

But you should always remember , how God protected you in each dilemma.

Know he alone knows, the future and its woes

Mth. 9;27-38

When cry to Lord I cannot see, he open the eyes of the blind like me.

When I am disturbed I find, in Jesus my peace of mind.

Others might deride and scorn, but in him my hope has been reborn.

When Christ sees confusion everywhere. There are so few who really care.

Says ask and I will send you. You will be amazed at what you could do.

Ps 57

Have mercy Lord on me, as l from my troubles flee.

Send help from heaven to rescue, for l have landed in quite a stew.

As I upon you call, l pray your name be exalted, above all.

Though I feel so trapped in what I do, my confidence will be, always in you.

I will praise you all my days, for marvelous are your ways.

Prov. 12:15-27

Fools always think they are right and are quick tempered. The righteous just Gods goodness have remembered.

May 10 Sunday

Ps 91. Prov. 3:5-6. Jere. 17:7-8

For in my Lord I trust, through the boom and bust.

He makes me feel free, in him l know I have, safety.

Not what I’m prone to think, when my heart does sink.

For when l follow after him, who my total trust is in.

I’m like a fruitful tree, that through drought will confidently.

Draws from Gods river, knowing God will deliver.

In drought l have no fear, for I know the Lord is right there.

My tree leaves always green, new fruit to be seen.

For my God is not at all mean, he knows where I have been.

May 9

Deut. 25-27

Judgment of your brothers crime. Must not humiliate at the same time.

Be kind to animals in their work. Fulfil family duty and do not shirk.

Argue politely in societies view. Give to others what is due.

Remember who are your enemies. Bless the Lord who gave you release.

Then you can now celebrate. For the Lord you know controls your fate.

As long as you obey, All that you hear what Gods word does say.

You are the people of the Lord, his commands just cannot be ignored.

Then praise and honour comes because of what you do. But always remember Gods promise to you.

It will be loudly shouted out, so there will be no doubt.

What you should always do, what God does ask of you.

Mth. 9:14-26

You don’t need to feel or look so sad, for the Lord has made you glad.

For now you have new wine, the old skin is no longer fine.

So when you plead publicly, or when come to him privately.

The Lord sees faith so now he will. Raise from death or heal when ill.

Then Jesus will suddenly become, known by each and everyone.

Ps. 44:17-26

Lord you see what has happened to me, Why aren’t l from all worries free.

My heart has never deserted you. Surely you know that too.

So why do I feel l must, be mourning in the dirt and dust.

Help me to rise above, when I see your amazing love

Prov. 12:12-24

To behave like a thief, brings failure not relief.
