Neh. 8-10

We all came together to listen. About our God who took us on a holy mission.

How often we were derailed, as God we so miserably failed.

In despair we now wept , realising Gods ways we had not kept.

Then our Leader did say , you don’t weep but celebrate this day.

Because you have now understood , and are determined to do what is good.

So commemorate again, how God delivered from slavery and pain.

Confessing all we had done wrong , yet knowing to God we did belong.

We broke out then in praise, realising how God had forgiven our ways.

Had led us through all our life , though hardship, disappointment and strife.

For Gods word has been shown to be true , whenever we try something new.

Despite sometimes seeking gods, that were totally at odds.

With all that we knew , about how we should worship you.

So thenonce again we were slaves , because of how our nation behaves.

Lord we again promise to , serve and follow you.

To vow before our Lord , to again live in accord.

Fulfilling you perfect will , in helping the hurting poor and ill.

Mark 12:13-27

When hypocrites come and question, devious in their suggestion.

That secular rulers of the land , have no right our tax to demand.

Jesus says says since when , have you not honoured them.

How about honouring Him , who you claim dwells within.

Then when they arrogantly claim, If things are just the same.

In heaven as on earth, how ridiculous to talk of new birth.

Jesus said because you refuse to believe, my truth you cannot receive.

Ps. 78:9-16

The follows of the Lord fled , because of the life they now led.

Forgetting all he had done , the victories he had won. I could name each one.

Prov. 23:22-25

Listen to those who went before. Their wisdom you should never ignore.
