1Sam. 11-13

While we see our world in disaster, who do we look to as our master.

For Christ has been our King, he has given us everything.

But the earthly king you desire, will lead you into ugly mire.

God may give victory to him, who now you put your total faith in.

But when trouble really comes, seems you are the only ones.

Then you must be still, For God his purpose to fulfil.

For it is your heart, God will test , right from the start.

Mth. 22:23-33

So often our faith restricted by our world view, it governs what we think and what we do.

But Jesus sees all things, that a far greater faith brings.

What you think is cool, only shows you as a fool.

Ps. 59:1-8

Lord you are my only hope. Please come and help me cope.

For l am surrounded by the enemy. No fault of mine as far as I can see.

Arise Lord from heaven come. The only hope for everyone. .

Prov. 16:20-22

Prosperous are those who follow the Lords instruction. Fools go on their way to destruction.

June 25

1Sam. 8:10

Why do people of God want a king. Who will in the long term only bring.

Oppression and abuse, so turn out to be bad news.

Though God will still lead to. The man who will lead you.

Though small in his and the world’s eyes. The prophet revealed him as king much to his surprise.

Though felt totally unfit, people acclaimed said they would submit.

Mth. 22:15-22

There will always be those, who deliberately oppose.

Try to incriminate you. By what you say and do.

But the answer you must give, proves in you God’s Spirit does live.

Much to their surprise. Their argument just dies.

Ps. 21

Amazing my King, honour to him I bring. He supplies everything.

Prov. 16:16-19

The more important to you, should be Gods wisdom in all you do.

June 24

1Sam 4-7

When disaster does come. The battle not won.

The Lord still has a plan, to rescue man.

That even those , who used to oppose.

Now come to recognise, much to our surprise.

With a Samuel to lead, God fulfils all of our need.

Peace is now ours, all recognise Gods powers.

Mth 22:1-14

They turn the invite away, as too busy on that day.

Jesus tells the story, where we are invited to share Gods glory.

Then invited are those, when Jesus they chose.

For only they could stay in, Gods holy kingdom.

Ps. 17

Lord I call to you, in everything I do.

I try my very best, please come give me rest.

I have always tried to follow you. Protect me now in all I do.

Though they would destroy me. From all my troubles set me free.

Prov. 16:12-15

My King wrongdoing does detest. He wants for me the very best.

June 23

1Sam. 1-3

When I’m desperate, feel from God seperate.

While those around, have blessing found.

Lord I cry to you, I will give all in what I do.

In my misery , God says he will bless me.

Go home and be still, See the Lord in who you hope then fulfil.

A brand new start, with what you had in your heart.

Samuel in Gods temple raised. Hears what the Lord says.

Terrible trouble for those, who Gods purpose do oppose.

Mth 21:33-46

Jesus tells this story, of men who have known his glory.

Have then refused to live, God honour to give.

Everything they had , turned out real bad.

Then he raised up, those who drank from his cup.

When they praise and sing, the Lord will bring a new thing.

All that went before, we now completely ignore.

Ps. 8

l should never fret. For I will know even yet.

Though I feel so small and low. It is the God of heaven and earth I know.

A amazing as it may seem. For I know and have seen.

He is in control of all, to my knees I fall.

Prov. 16:8-11

Better to put the Lord first. Than to be rich and dishonest.

June 21

Mth 5:6

God blesses those, who especially oppose.

The world’s ways. In these evil days.

Ps 63:1:5

Lord I seek you, in everything I do.

It is all I want in life. Even in the middle of strife.

I have experienced who you are. You are the most important by far.

You are my joy and satisfaction, far more than any worldly distraction.

Roms. 3:21-23

There is only one way, To see the light of day.

Not because of what I might do. Or any other thing I thought I knew .

It is only because of faith in him. Who I believe in.

June 20

It is so wonderful to know love. Love that is so far above.

Anything else you desire. What you constantly seek and enquire.

Where is that love that fulfils me. I wander my world hoping to see.

Would be so beautiful in every way. To be with my love everyday.

Mth 21:1-17

As we came near, we must do what we hear.

Find a donkey for the Lord to ride. For me to honour as walk beside.

Hosanna to his name, we worship his fame.

But then he caused a fuss. As he came in and cleansed us.

Healed so blind could see. It happened right then amazingly.

Indignation filled our heart. We no longer felt a part.

Of this new move of God. To us it seemed so odd.

To see children praise him. Who they now believed in.

Jesus then moved on, leaving us to ponder upon.

Ps. 144

Praise the Lord my rock. when I take stock.

He is everything I need. From defeat he has freed.

You have to wonder why. Or is it just pie in the sky?

That the God of heaven above, would stoop to even me love?

Lord come and protect. So my life can survive, sins effect.

Prov 16:1-3

God has plans for you, commit to him all you do.

June. 19

Eze. 46-48

God a structure did build, it will be filled.

With people who worship him. The priest who will lead in.

The gateway to his presence. The very essence.

Of what worship is all about, where there will be no doubt.

As see the river start to flow, out into the world we go.

Until it becomes deep. See fruitful trees that keep.

All of those , who God chose.

In plentiful supplies. Even where desert lies.

Boundaries will be set. Where Gods will will be met.

With gates back into the temple, where worshippers assemble.

Mth. 20:29-34

Lord we are so blind , help us to see so we can find.

Our path to you, so we can follow too.

Ps. 139:13-24

The Lord has made me so complex. So everything now effects.

The way I relate to him, and the world I live in.

Now I surely know, you are with me wherever I go.

And l despise ,the things not good, in the Lords eyes.

Search me Lord know that I might still , know your perfect will.

Prov. 15:31-33

If you listen, to his wisdom, you will fulfil your mission.

June 17

Eze 40-42

If you wonder what life is all about, God reveals so there is no doubt.

He has this intricate plan. Gods temple he’s created in each man.

As we dream we come to see. God is building a perfect place for you and me.

So perfect is the special design. Built so man can meet with God divine.

To worship him in a special way. Where Gods glory is on display.

Mth. 20:1-16

Each of us are hired to work. Don’t worry if some seem to shirk.

Not worked the full day, Jesus says it is his riches to give away.

For he will show his special care. To whoever happens to be right there.

Ps. 139:1-6

Lord there is nothing you don’t know. You were there at the beginning and where I will go.

It is just too marvellous to see Everything you know all about me.

More than my mind can understand. My heart can ever withstand.

Prov. 15:25-27

The Lord tears down builds again. Delivers us from sins awful stain.

June15

Eze 34-36

We live in a land, where the rulers demand.

They have the authority, to keep in captivity.

To their corporate needs, through evil deeds.

Disaster it has brought, although good people had sought.

To do what was right, in the Lords sight.

But God will over rule, Those who think they are now cool.

Because they defame, his holy name.

Then restore as before. Giving even more.

For those who were oppressed. Will now be much blessed.

To reveal Gods goodness. Even in our weakness

Mth. 19:1-14

Here again we see, how law can be used oppressively.

No care and no thought, for the innocent who are caught.

In their desire to win , the argument they are in.

That they don’t even see, children who are needy.

That the the Lord would bless too. Just as he has you.

Ps. 73:1-16

Sometimes I feel like giving it all away. I have tried to be good every day.

Yet l see those who have not. There is nothing they have not got.

While I struggle always in strife. They seem to have this amazing life.

I try to understand all this, but such a difficult task it is.

Prov. 15:18-21

It is your attitude today. , that will reveal the Lords way.

June 14

Mth 5:5. Ps. 37. Zephaniah. 2:3

God blesses those who are humble, they recognise they forever stumble.

Do not watch with envy, those better you may see.

They will fade away, when they have had their day.

Trust in the Lord and do good, in your local neighbourhood.

Then delight in what the Lord does, as we see him bless us.

In the presence of the Lord just be still, as see his purpose in you fulfil.

Don’t fret or worry. Feeling for yourself sorry.

At your lack of success , angry because seem to make no progress.

Just be the peaceful one, the envy of everyone.

Seek the Lord in your humility, Gods blessings notice continually

For you are Gods elect , he will always protect.
