A litany of sadness.

Highlighting how bad man is.

Yet the Lord was seen there.

Showing he really did care.

That what he had in mind.

Was to in the end find.

A true and faithful man.

Who had done all he can.

To work in accord

With the purpose of the Lord

Mth. 29:11-20

When they have thought.

The truth they will distort.

The Lord will display.

On the very next day.

He is with you.

In all that you do.

So go on your way.

Telling what he did say

Even though others lie.

About why he did die.

And how rose again.

For a world that was in pain.

Ps. 63

O Lord l long for you

In everything that l do.

I thirst for the days.

When you blessed my ways.

Protect me from those.

Who my life in Christ oppose.

That I might again glory.

In your amazing story.

Sept 28 Sunday Hope

Eze 37:1-14

Mth. 27:50-53

When faith seems so dry.

In sadness we ask why?

Everything now seems so dead.

Life, now hopelessness instead

Speak into those old bones.

New life instead of moans.

Even the Lord cries out.

It fills us with such doubt

As the curtain is torn.

Then what was dead is reborn.

New life now did appear

Right amongst us, right here.

Sept 24

1 Sam. 16-17

When Gods chosen rejected.

A new leader is expected.

That will then be anointed.

To one day be appointed.

Despite seemed so small.

By brothers and all.

Gods Spirit was in him.

Giving confidence to win.

In all areas of his life.

Without sword or even knife.

To prove to those all around.

Only in God his strength found.

Mth. 27:32-44

While Gods followers did mourn.

As the world looked on with scorn.

God had a plan.

For salvation of man.

What looked like a disaster.

And people cursed our master.

It caused such a fuss.

Yet done solely for us.

Ps. 68:1-18

May my God now arise.

Much to our surprise.

As a saviour to all.

To those world sees as small.

While the powerful will flee.

They are Gods enemy.

But l will rejoice in him.

Who allowed me to win.

To ascend on his mountain.

Him alone l can count on.

Prov. 22:1-6

In your life you will be known.

By the values you have shown.

Sept. 23

1Sam. 14-15

When I do see.

The enemy.

Must cross that space.

To come face to face.

So God will defeat.

Whatever l meet.

Then everyone.

Will follow Gods Son.

With their focus on him.

Who gave them the win.

Beware of the pride.

Thinking Gods on your side.

Then to disobey.

Thinking sacrifice okay.

Yet not in accord.

With the word of the Lord.

Mth. 27:11-31

Man’s refusal to believe.

Hard to conceive.

Just how those.

So violently oppose.

Who the Lord is.

So completely do miss.

What is happening right now.

And before our Lord bow.

Ps. 91.

When you have no doubt.

The Lord knows what it’s about.

When facing what might seem.

The worst you could dream.

To the Lord you should go.

For then you will know.

He will rescue you.

In all that you do.

Prov. 21:28-31

The Lord will direct your ways.

Sept 22. Festival of trumpets

Num 29:1-6

A festival to celebrate.

To thank Lord who did instigate.

All that l have in him this day.

To tell him that I’m okay.

With all that he has given me.

He will be pleased to see

Mth. 24

Yet still there will come a day.

All we value will be taken away.

Destroyed much to our surprise.

As this world we live in dies.

I must be faithful to the end.

To my saviour who will defend.

And raise me up in that last day.

From destruction take me away.

Yet here on earth we will not know.

When from this earth we will go.

Rev. 11:15-29

Then comes the trumpet call.

Disobedient take a great fall.

The destruction of the earth.

Heaven comes in a new birth

All that God has long promised.

Him who the world dismissed.

We all will see on that day.

Amazed at what he does display.

1Cor. 15:50-58

For there is no way.

The Lord did say.

That in our present state.

That he can come and take.

Into heaven with him.

Because of the sin within.

Yet in a twinkle of an eye.

We will say bye bye.

Though many will grieve.

When see us leave.

Death has no sting.

He is my everything.

Sept 21. Sunday

Gen. 1-2:3. Jn. 1:1-18

Amazing it may seem.

What our world has been

So now we can see.

Why there is such unity

As God put it together.

So that we should never.

Forget that his perfect design.

Now is a responsibility of mine.

So that I should know.

That even when feel low.

Jesus was there too.

Creating a world so new.

And has not me abandoned.

Thou haven’t met his standard.

Revealed his amazing grace

Even when my life a disgrace.

Sept 20

1 Sam. 11-13

When we insist on our king.

To deliver from everything.

When all through our life.

Gods delivered from strife.

Though we are told not wise.

It takes a while to realise.

That the king we did choose.

For us is really bad news.

For he sees it is only him.

Can rescue from trouble in.

Before Lord did not wait.

No doubt of the fate.

Of king who we see

As the ruler over me.

Mth. 26:69-27:10

When seems Jesus name in disgrace

Impossible the opposition to face.

Frightened so often it is we.

Do hide so people cannot see.

That we are followers of him.

Scared trouble we could get in.

But it is even worse.

When bring on ourselves a curse.

By denying all we have seen.

When with him we have been.

Ps. 13

It has seemed just so long.

When always been in the wrong.

Have been so feeble.

In eyes of the people.

But I will wait for you.

For you know what to do.

Then I will lift my voice.

In you only do l rejoice.

Prov. 21:22-27

The wise will prove strong.

The foolish end up wrong.

Sept 18

1 Sam. 4-7

If we go out to fight.

Yet not right in Gods sight.

The enemy will then defeat.

Religion your need won’t meet.

Though you put on a display.

Will be filled with dismay.

As the Lord will make you see.

From his judgment are not free.

Then Gods Spirit will be returned.

To where it once was spurned.

To heal the village people.

Though so weak and feeble.

So again they would obey him.

Who they now put their faith in.

Then be leads them into war.

Gods kingdom to restore.

Mth. 26:30-46

When seems Lord is right here.

That we have nothing to fear.

It the very time.

God asks are you really mine.

Know that the flesh is weak.

Though in spirit God seek.

Hear what God does say.

Pray that you don’t fall away

When facing what seems defeat.

Gods purpose you will see meet

Ps. 52

The enemy of my soul.

Is trying to dig a hole.

For me to fall in.

He thinks he will win.

But l trust in my God.

To overcome the evil sod.

My heart is full of praise.

In all of my days.

Prov. 21:17

If you only seek a good time.

Lord says you are not mine.

Sept. 17

1Sam 1-3

As you cry out to the Lord.

While always living in accord.

To what he tells you.

He will bless all you do.

But if your life style.

Gods temple does defile.

You will know why.

Your purpose in God will die.

If listen and answer to the call.

While others in disgrace fall.

You will be seen as pure.

Gods with you, you can be sure.

Will bring honour to you.

As you serve him as you do.

Mth. 26:17-29

When Lord says to go.

Obey so that you may know.

He will always enable.

So can gather at his table.

To remember his sacrifice.

Thats all that does suffice.

Ps. 34

When I’m treated disgracefully.

That others would scorn me.

I saw the Lord is good.

When l before him stood.

There is now no doubt.

He hears when l cry out.

Heals my broken heart.

Enables to make a new start.

My life he will mend.

No longer condemned.

Prov. 21:14-16

If in secret you do give.

It allows others to live.

Only Jesus really knows.

Our upcoming woes.

That we all have to face.

Whatever we think the case.

Even as see as some do.

As if they always knew.

And some misiunderstand.

The future God has planed.

While some refuse to believe.

In darkness they deceive.

Ps. 39.

I feel so distraught.

Life’s hopes became fraught.

As nearing to the end.

Only in Christ can l depend.

To reveal what l don’t know.

When I have to go.

As l struggle to cope.

You are my only hope.

It’s you only who cares.

Who answers all my fears.

I believe what I’ve been told.

Though grow frail and so old.

Prov. 21:9-13

Always must remember.

Others will dismember.
