1Cor 16 Challenge

Now about your giving.

That part of christian living.

Where do everything l can.

Even as carry out Gods plan.

Don’t treat others with contempt.

Who come to you in an attempt.

To to help and encourage you

And support all that you do.

Please make me satisfied.

As I watch what you decide.

Mth. 3:7-10

John came to accuse and confront.

Not what his hearers did won’t

But truth they needed to hear.

For no longer in Gods care.

For he is coming to call.

Before a disastrous fall.

Ps. 75

I thank you my God.

For you have given me the nod.

For you in all things do lead.

Fulfilling my every need

Turmoil into justice

Though they can’t see this.

Raise voices in defiance.

Disputing need for reliance.

On my God who does all.

In rescuing from a fall.

Prov. 31:31

You deeds show you have won.

All that your God has done.

December 28. Faith

Heb. 11:1-6

Faith alone allows us to cope.

See nothing yet still have hope.

Faith in any situation

Enhances our reputation.

Faith knows God brings.

Good out of all things.

Faith learns to obey.

What the inner spirit does say.

By faith know that one day.

God says no need to delay.

Mth. 21:18-22

With faith whatever you say.

Will happen in your day.

This you can count on.

No matter the mountain.

You can cast it into the sea.

To be eternally free

Mth. 8:5-13

Amazing it is to see.

What faith can do for me.

Though I don’t deserve it.

For know l am not fit

For I have always known.

God is too holy for my home.

Yet he still says you may go.

I would never say no

For I always say yes

Great faith l will bless.

Mark 6:1-6

So often God is rejected.

Because he turns up unexpected.

We don’t have the faith to see.

That he is right there before me.

So he leaves to go elsewhere.

For we refuse him when near.

But those who have no doubt.

He commissions and sends out.

1Cor. 15

Scripture does us remind

The satisfaction we will find.

Not just in earthly things.

It is in what heaven brings

Because of present selection.

All things come to perfection.

If we focus on only this.

We will not be seen to miss.

For God has much more.

One day in heaven in store.

Thats what the gospel is about.

Of this l have no doubt.

Not just on earth to be reformed.

But in heaven transformed.

Something totally new

Through risen Christ what is due.

Oh death where is your sting.

For l have victory in everything

Mth. 3:1-6

I hear this loud call.

Repentance for all.

That Christ might be known.

Even if means living alone.

Out here in the desert.

That all may be affected

By Christ in this day.

And turn from their evil way.

Ps. 116

I love the Lord he hears my voice.

I now have made a choice.

Though l feel so low.

I am determined to show

By my behaviour.

My God as my Saviour.

And do what his word says.

Give a sacrifice of praise.

Prov. 31:30

Deceptive is a charm.

Watch or will disarm.

1Cor. 12-14

A very successful church.

Does indeed not lurch.

Between one extreme to another.

But honours all as a brother.

In all that each of us do.

Lord help us to reveal you.

The most important is in love.

For it alone is far above.

All other amazing gifts.

For love it is that lifts

So the whole body can be one.

All can see what Christ has done

Through each one of us.

With no pride or great fuss.

Mth. 2:13-23

When God blesses me.

He may tell me to flee.

To a strange safe place.

Where l no longer have to face.

Those who seek to kill

That l may be with him still.

That I may again return.

And gradually come to learn.

My faith grow in him

Who my only hope is in.

Ps. 139:13-24

Lord you know my every thought.

From birth you now have brought

Me to this place l now do stand.

Seems such a desolate land.

With enemies who would kill.

The purpose of your will.

Teach me always to behave.

For you can then me save.

Lead me out of strife

That in you l can have life.

Prov. 31:28-29

The church is here to bless

To give and support in mess

Is 9:1-7

Amazing to hear and see.

God came as a little baby

The Lord of heaven and earth.

Hope peace goodwill gave birth

That all the world should know

And no longer feel so low

A bright future now seen.

Nobody now feels so mean.

Is Gods amazing plan.

For each and every man.

Mth 1:18-25

When God intervenes.

We wonder what it means.

It will cause such a fuss.

God Immanuel is with us.

Something new is born.

In our world so forlorn.

Micah. 5:2-5

The Lord Jesus is the divine.

Victory through him is mine

We can all stand tall.

He alone can save all.

Gives peace goodwill on earth.

The world now knows new birth.

From doubt worries and dispair

There is no need now to fear.

1Cor. 10-11

Remember lessons from the past.

Why some weren’t able to last.

In their walk with the Lord.

Because they did not live in accord.

With everything that was true.

Even when told what to do.

As they traveled through the desert

When they were constantly beset.

With this world’s frustration.

Gave into weakness and temptation

It is no different now.

For we must not allow.

Things to creep in.

That we are tempted in.

For your good and for the other.

For it may make their faith suffer.

For we all have a role.

In protecting our brothers soul.

Therefore in all that you do.

Lord may it be acceptable to you.

That it’s not about just me.

Because l feel free.

For l can not afford.

To dishonour the Lord.

Mth. 2:1-12

The wise search for him.

For the whole worlds hope is in.

The sole purpose of life’s trip.

Is to find him who we can worship.

Though others falsely say.

I too want to come your way.

They really set out to deceive.

Have no intentions to believe.

That Jesus is the king.

Not them in everything.

Ps. 139:1-12

Lord you know all about me.

There is nothing you don’t see.

There is nothing l do.

That is not known to you.

And yet you still say yes.

Though he’s weak l will bless.

There is nothing l can hide.

For in you l do abide.

Prov 31:25-27

The wise have it all.

No way they will fall

1cor7:9

To live for Christ only.

Is not to be lonely

But to just focus.

Avoid hocus pocus.

Be satisfied

To own self died

For he has called you

To honour him whatever you do

Living your life

With or without a wife.

Mth. 1:17

Gods plan to fulfil

For me even still.

Ps 97

The Lord he is King.

Praise him everything

Though a mystery

How he controls history.

We behold his glory.

In the world’s story.

Good works provide.

1Cor. 4-6

It is not important what man we follow.

What is important is our faith is not hollow.

That our body we treat as a temple.

Pure and good to resemble.

Who we honour as our Lord.

That we always live in accord.

To everything that we know true.

For Christ lives in me and you.

Mth. 12:1-16

Now each ancestor is dead.

Impacting me by life they led.

But finally I have my day.

Will see the Lord have his way.

For my one and only desire.

Is to see Christ the Messiah.

Ps. 117

The Lord deserves our praise.

See his love in all our days

Faithful forever

All nations praise together.

Prov. 31:18-21

The woman who truly cares.

Reveals the God she fears.

John 14:6-11

Jesus said I am the way and the truth, and the life and you can’t see.

Your heavenly Father in anybody else but me.

I have walked with you every day.

You have seen miracles on display.

Acts 4:8-12

I should now have no fear

To make it very clear.

In making Jesus known.

My power is in him alone.

Acts. 16:22-34

When trouble really hits me.

And I am still worshiping thee.

Who now releases miraculously.

It is for others to be saved.

When they heard and obeyed.

They were no longer afraid.

When the Lord we have believed

Through dreams have conceived

The purpose for our life.

We ignore any other strife.

1 Cor. 1-3

Oh how much l need Gods grace.

As I grow old l have to face.

The wisdom of the young.

Now I’m old and nearly done.

Though foolish l may seem.

They don’t know where I’ve been.

The lessons Christ taught me.

From world’s wisdom I’m set free.

That I might know Christ alone.

Foolishness to those who own

Worlds wisdom unlike me

For Christ does gives authority

My life I’ve not lived in vain

God salvation is now plain

For in weakness I honour you.

In everything that l now do

That all might come to see

Christ alone can set you free

Though our wisdom you despise

And we might not seem wise

And you may follow another

I am still your father

My life proved strong in the fire

Christ alone is my desire

Born from a king.

Not known for anything

Now is the day

When the Lord haves his say

it is the Lord alone

who reveals the unknown

all praise to him

Who my hope is in

he is a above all

Will not let me fall

he alone does lead

Meets my every need

Christ alone is with me

From old age will set me free
