A walk in the garden

July 2

Jere. 45-48

Again being told.

Just like times of old.

Nations that were strong.

Have all gone wrong.

Lord will now deploy.

Enemy to destroy.

Britain and America.

The west and in Africa.

For they are mistaken.

Truth have forsaken.

Strength that has been.

No longer will be seen.

Those who stand strong.

To the Lord do belong.

Mth. 6:9-18

Father your kingdom come.

Your will on earth be done.

Give today what l need.

Forgiveness in life l lead.

That my heart within.

Won’t be tempted into sin.

For even as I forgive.

God forgives me in life l live.

And when l seek Lord and fast.

Put on a celebratory mask.

For only Lord need see.

The inner desires within me.

Ps. 110.

The Lord will have his way.

Despite what you see today.

He rules even when l see.

Surrounded by the enemy.

Even as I watch Israel.

They are lifted up on high.

His protection will not fail.

As strong are seen to die.

Gods people lifted high

Prov. 15:8-9

The Lord detests wickedness.

Loves who seek righteousness.

Jere. 41-44. Doubt

When people come to kill.

Evil intentions to fulfil.

Terror then will reign.

All will then complain.

Yet they refuse to obey.

When told be still and stay.

The Lord says do not go.

Though you will say no.

For we know where.

Are safe will have no fear.

Though you say we must.

In Lord alone you should trust.

Again you say we won’t

Destruction if you don’t.

Mth. 5:38-6:8

Those who cause you harm.

The best way to disarm.

Is to give and not to take.

Help them, for Gods sake.

So they have no doubt.

What God is all about.

Not to bring praise for you.

Honour God in what you do.

Same goes for your prayer.

Only God needs to hear.

When call out to him.

Praises above the din.

Ps. 102:18-28

When think the end has come.

Will see the Lord has still won.

When we all feel so feeble.

He hears the groans of people.

Then again he does restore.

Love and praise so much more.

Now know next generation send.

Your kingdom will never end.

Prov. 15:4-7

From the mouth should come out.

Gods purpose not worlds doubt.

Jere. 36-40

You see disaster about to unfold.

Tell what you feel God has told.

Yet there will be opposition.

Say you are in no position.

To tell us what to believe.

Angrily say you deceive.

You have not got our permission.

We will throw you into prison.

Then God will rescue you.

In spite of what they do.

Then the mighty and the small.

Come to see their own downfall.

Mth 5:21-37

It may seem too hardline.

To speak the truth on you mind.

Must remember the bible.

Is steadfast and reliable.

To water down the meaning.

Is to help those who are leaning.

Towards the deceivers way.

Ignoring what the Lord does say.

Ps. 102:12-17

Despite all of this.

Gods blessing you won’t miss.

He will rescue you.

Come and then renew.

The promise to us all.

The great and the small.

Prov. 15:3

God watches us all.

To see if answer call

Sunday 29th

Ps. 23. John 10:7-18.

How confident l can be.

I know he’s always near me.

To care and sustain.

No matter how great the pain.

Never there is a day.

When he does not lead the way.

Be still and you will see.

Him defeat the enemy.

He is the shepherd I am the lamb.

Leads me in his eternal plan.

Protects me in the life I’m in.

To one day be, forever with him.

June 28

Jere. 33-36

Though totally restricted.

Now Lord has predicted.

Heard again promise to restore.

Unsearchable things not seen before.

No longer in disgrace.

So amazing is Gods grace.

But now you must give in.

To the enemy surrounding.

For it is the Lords way.

To that restoration day.

Give thanks for within.

Is Gods power to win.

You will be fine.

In righteous one to shine.

Forever to stand.

In God given land.

But you must still listen.

As go on your mission.

Though well behaved.

Again have become enslaved.

For all that you obey.

Is what tradition does say.

God’s mercy refuse.

And each other abuse.

And king of your day.

Destroys all that l do say.

Mth. 5:1-20

It seems that the humiliated.

Most likely to be reinstated.

God will restore.

Not about law.

All about Gods mercy.

To the failure in me.

Now salt and a light.

In other people’s sight.

Following the law.

But not like before.

Ps. 102:1-11

Hear my prayer Lord.

I’m put to the sword.

You know what l mean.

Disasters l have seen.

Help me to cope.

Just give me some hope.

Prov. 15:1-2

Gentle answer with you adorn.

Harsh words only makes forlorn.

June 27

Jere. 31-32

Amazing God we serve.

Don’t get what we deserve.

Though in a desperate plight.

In love and in foresight.

Fathers might outpours.

As he again restores.

Weeping as we come.

Knowing what we have done.

What rejoicing will be heard.

Despite’s sadness that occurred.

But still there is hope.

To get off this slippery slope.

Ashamed humiliated again.

Yet now l can proclaim.

Because l have believed.

The Fathers love I received

Not because of who l am.

It is God’s sacrificial lamb.

A new covenant is now here.

Where it is all so clear.

That I’m Gods special child.

No longer by the world reviled.

What seemed to me improbable.

To others utterly impossible.

The Lord revealed to me.

What could happen possibly.

So in faith l now see.

God has set me free.

Despite disaster all around.

In the storm not run aground.

Mth. 4:12-25

Jesus’s time has come.

To the surprise of some.

Fishermen he did call.

Away from fishing haul.

To follow wherever he went.

Hearing that you must repent.

Listen and you will hear

The kingdom of God is near.

Ps. 98

Sing to the lord a new song.

For to him l belong.

What joy is to be had.

I’m so happy and so glad.

For he has shown his great love.

Blessings from heaven above.

Prov. 14:34-35

The king delights in the wise.

Shameful he does despise.

June 26

Jere. 28-30

Some will come and tell.

All is going to be well.

I said what Lords told me.

This is not what he does see.

If you believe that lie.

You are going to die.

For what God has ordained.

In exile will be sustained.

You wait for the time.

To see the purpose of mine.

To restore and rebuild.

What foretold is fulfilled.

Again you will know.

Gods sovereign here below.

Not when rebellious say.

That everything is okay.

Wait for the Lord to restore.

As it all was before.

So do not be afraid.

Or be dismayed.

Despite how you behaved.

You will be saved.

As I confess.

The Lord will bless.

To bring back again.

No longer in shame.

Mth. 3:11-24

Now l only know of mans power.

But will see work of Spirit flower.

When Jesus is proclaimed.

Gods servant then named.

To glorify him.

Then are tempted in.

Those things that seem good.

But on his word alone stood.

Rejecting all that before.

Was just about law.

So now totally free.

Command satan to flee.

Ps. 95

How blessed l do feel.

As my life he does heal.

Nothing he cannot do.

When he will bless you.

So when hear his voice.

You can rejoice.

But do not turn away.

As when hearts went astray.

Will not see his best.

Or come into complete rest.

Prov. 14:29-33

Patience. understanding. peace.

Quick tempered. folly. will cease.

June 25

Jere. 25-27

Seems so obvious to me.

From all that l do see.

I feel all will be destroyed.

God must be so annoyed.

With church and the state.

What will be their fate?

What they fear the most.

Is written on the signpost.

A destiny they deny.

Though l do know why.

Yet they will still refuse.

In unbelief they abuse.

Mth. 2-3

It has all been told of before.

When nations ignore Gods law.

Innocents babes are killed.

Wickedness results fulfilled.

But Gods word will escape.

That sort of fate.

To come back again.

Avoiding all past pain.

To where we least expect.

Gods purpose we detect.

As the cry does go out.

Turn you life right about.

Turn now you must repent.

For Gods only son is sent

Ps. 64

When l look all around.

What hope can be found.

Lord even though I fear.

I have heard you are near.

So I can rejoice.

At hearing your voice.

Prov. 14:25-28

Truth in the end wins

World dies in its sins.

A walk in the garden

Jere. 22-24

Judgment will come to all.

Disaster that will appall.

Nothing to appease us.

Even the followers of Jesus.

If we do not at our very core.

Look after those who are poor.

For if instead you are mean.

Your prosperity will be lean.

The Lord will not be with you.

In all the things you do.

Even when feel secure.

Won’t be able to endure.

The enemy you face.

Carts you off in disgrace.

Then when all seems lost.

Hopeless and beyond cost.

A righteous one does come.

Through him victory is won.

But even then

Wicked men.

With stubbeness within.

Will turn away from him.

While those sent into exile.

God will bless in a while.

To bring them back again.

Cleaned of all sin and stain.

With a heart and mind to know.

His word a refreshing flow.

While now the Lord will banish

Deceitful men they will vanish.

Math. 2:1-15

Once again can be seen.

Righteous and the mean.

One, God does inspire.

The other, will just conspire.

But the Lord will rescue me.

Telling me now to flee.

To a far off foreign land.

While he holds my hand.

Until there is no doubt.

Your time has come about

Ps. 59:9-17

Now I know you are my strength.

You will go to any length.

To protect and give victory.

Over my old enemy.

I am just straw and stubble.

You rescue me from all trouble.

Prov. 14:23-24

Work of wise is their crown.

Folly of fools brings them down.

A walk in the garden.

Jere. 18-21

As the potter makes a pot.

The Lord decides our lot.

To build or to destroy.

Depends on whether annoy.

To rise or to fall.

His alone to call.

World carry’s right on.

An allusion they depend upon.

Refuse to make Lord master.

Or to see the coming disaster.

Mth. 1

God always had a plan.

For salvation of man.

Down through the ages.

He turned histories pages.

Until the time was just right.

A baby was in sight.

For Joseph it was quite scary.

To marry pregnant Mary.

Ps. 59:1-8

Lord don’t you see.

Everything seems against me.

I feel so alone.

Old aching muscles moan.

Yet know you’re always here.

I’m under your loving care.

Prov. 14:21-22

Blessed those who stood.

Not with evil but with good.
