Mth. 27:62-66

Lord do l live like I deny.

Believe in the lie.

Not believe what bible said

you rose from the dead.

So l can live today

my own deceitful way?

Mk. 1:9-13

When God says from above

It is you I do love.

The devil would come

To deceive everyone.

You must stand firm.

Or he will worm

Into all you believe

and try to deceive.

Lord come help me

For l feel so weary.

My hope does depart

from deep in my heart.

How long before

you come and restore?

The enemy does attack

whenever turn my back.

In my sleep

I so often weep.

Yet know Lord does see

And has heard my plea.

Listen to what God asks of you.

What servants are expected to do.

In our temple for the high priest.

From most important to the least.

Our duty to serve our Lord alone.

For his sacrifice does all sin atone.

Into Gods presence now can come.

Loving Father sacrificed his Son.

Mark. 1:1-8

Listen to what the bible does say.

We are sent to prepare the way.

For our amazing King.

He is above everything.

In this desert I do dwell.

I’m here that I might tell.

The Lord is coming for sure.

Repent so you endure.

Then see him in all his glory.

The culmination of Gods story.

Ps. 144:9-15

We who to God belong.

Will now sing a new song.

For he came us to save.

From this world and the grave.

May all men know it too.

Just how blessed we are by you.

A world full of such joy.

Nothing left, to annoy.

Proverbs. 10:22-23

Blessings of the Lord makes a person rich.

Satisfies our every itch

A fools tomorrow

Full of sorrow.

Easter Sunday

1 Cor. 15

We must never forget

Our salvation was met.

By Christ rising from dead

Just as he said.

If you dispute this

The good news you miss.

Your mind full of doubt.

What our life’s about.

How foolish the thought.

That what Jesus bought

When death comes along

It is to Jesus we belong.

For there is no doubt

What we are all about.

Good news I do bring

death has lost its sting.

You know we’re not wrong

Therefore be strong.

Luke. 24

Very early in morning

All full of mourning

Learnt he had risen

His body now missing

Then he did appear

Banished our fear

Saw all that was told

In scriptures unfold

Revealed himself to us

Caused such a fuss

Amazing to see

Christs now with me.

April 19. Easter Saturday

Numbers. 1-2

Gods army is listed before

ready to go to war.

Important each to count.

So God knows final amount.

His blessing then to pour

As go through open door.

To march side by side

For him, who for us died.

Luke 23:50-56

Are you ready to stand out

when others full of doubt?

You are sad but bring

honour to your king.

To you it’s all that matters

to others the hurt scatters.

Some showed they cared.

Spices they prepared.

The body seemed so dead.

Battered, bruised, had bled.

Ps. 144:1-8

The Lord is my rock

when disaster does knock.

He’s my fortress and shield.

When on battle field.

Men think they are great.

Gods power does abate.

So please come rescue me.

So all of them can see.

In storm you help me swim.

To rise up and to win.

Prov. 10:19-21

When on life’s walk

careful how you talk.

To help and encourage

Or destroy or discourage.

April 18. Good Friday

Gen. 22:1-8

When Lord asks.

Sets daunting tasks.

Heart not feeling okay

But steadfastly obey.

For sacrifice has to be made

Though feelings are so sad.

Yet God will provide.

Always been on my side.

My faith will past the test.

God promises his best.

To fulfil through me.

Amazing future to see.

Luke 23:26-49

Now Gods sacrifice made

for sins that were forbade.

What disaster awaits

Sin never abates.

When we are on cross

Deserve our great loss.

Now cry out to him

deliver us from sin.

Jesus then does say

You will be with me today.

Though we look from afar

Wonder who you are.

We see signs from above

Showing Fathers great love.

Ps. 53

Just amazing to see

the Lord suffering for me.

Powerful yet weak.

Humiliated so meek.

Ignored and rejected

by those God selected.

He did it all

because of our fall.

So often refuse.

To give him his dues.

Our God unbelievably

Came down just for me.

The victory now his.

That none may miss.

His kingdoms now come

for everyone.

Ps. 22

Oh God where are you.

You see what men do.

Please help me in this mess.

Have read that you do bless.

So still I am bold.

Gods child I am told.

Yet all I now face.

Fear I am in disgrace.

Yet to him I give praise.

For all of my days.

Power comes from him.

Together we can win.

April 11

Dan. 3-4

Building edifice to self

so world will see wealth.

If l should refuse

give honour or dues

cause so much ire

are thrown in the fire.

God rescues me

it is amazing to see.

Give glory to his name

honour and acclaim.

This man thinks as king

has power over everything.

God will now show

that he may know

Gods alone to call

who will rise who will fall.

Humiliated he now prays

Your God orders my days.

Luke. 22:39-46

When life full of fears.

Only answer is prayers.

While l sleep and delay

It’s the Lord who will pray.

Says what l do fear

is temptation is near.

Not for what l do

but only for you.

Ps. 130

It was amazing to see

healing instigated by me.

To God honour due

The blessing to you.

For riches and fame

done in Gods name.

One day might also face

disaster and disgrace.

When worried about

mind full of doubt.

Think we are sank

how much money in bank?

We have ignored

when live for the Lord.

We will have all we need

when righteous life lead.

Ananias and Saphire

Did conspire

to lie about who

they gave honour too.

Peter did hate.

This sealed their fate.

Exodus 30-32

There was a time

when the Lord was mine.

I exalted him

all things in.

Felt so blessed

and well dressed.

Then Spirit left.

I felt bereft.

Sort some more.

Had a great fall.

Had angered God

Was a real sod.

Then man of fame

finally came.

Plead for me

and set me free.

Shamed I now

before Lord bow.

Luke 14:15-24

I would love an invite

to see Jesus’s might.

To be invited in

to sit with him

Thought was rich

Deserving in which.

Could claim my right

In all the worlds sight.

But now realise

disaster in my eyes.

Dissapproval cannot win.

Or deserve to eat with him.

Still he said come

any and everyone.

He has decided

all are invited.

Ps 106: 24-28

A disaster my life has been.

Everybody has seen.

A list of great failures

Others say are yours.

Yet despite all this

I don’t feel remiss

When l say yes

Lords comes to bless.

To totally restore

As l was before.

I give praise to him

Who my faith is in.

Despite erring ways

Forgiven he says.
