Job. 18-20. pleading

Still they will not listen

full of their own wisdom.

Just wanting to accuse

Charge I’m getting my dues.

I understand what they say.

Am l worse than them today?

I just don’t think it’s fair

And God doesn’t seem to care.

Yet know my redeemer lives

That finally he forgives

I will stand before him

To get his approval in

all that he chooses to see

in his great love for me.

Yet again you tell me not true.

Despised because all that l do.

Deserve all that l get

The law l have not met.

Luke. 18:1-17

Persistence in prayer

shows you really care.

God will answer in the end

he will come and defend.

Then he will come and ask

Have faith for the next task.

How humble are you?

In giving to me what’s due.

Are you coming like a child

Meek, weak and so mild?

Lord l love you

Refreshed in all l do.

How good my God is

Again you say not true

I am not as good as you.

The law l have not met

deserve everything l get.

Luke 18:1-17

You experts in the main

think you can explain

But completely miss

others feelings in this.

Not willing to restore

Religiously slam the door

As l take them to task

l can only ask.

Am l any worse than you?

In the things I do?

Know this we all offend

and only God can mend

So in my heart deep within

I can only appeal to him.

When will kingdom come

Worshiping by everyone.

When we least expect

though signs can detect.

Believers will be drawn

away in a new dawn.

By power and grace

Into his kingdom space.

Others will wonder why

as they look into the sky.

Know somethings going on

keep their distance from.

Ps. 19

The heavens declare

God is here.

So obvious to see

A marvel to me.

Then there is the word

where Gods wisdom heard

Then we can be sure

If reverence is pure.

Keeps me from sin

I can abide in him.

So I Lord can please you

In all things that l do.

Prov 8:6-7

Listen to me

I will set you free.

Job. 11-14

The accuser will now claim

l cannot call on Gods name.

Though l confess

life is such a mess.

Acknowledge that l am

just a fallen man.

Yet you know all men miss

That holiness of his.

I struggle to believe

That all seem to receive.

The good and the bad

Happy or so sad.

Struggle and blessing

keep all men guessing.

Who knows what is due.

If only l knew?

Lk 17:11-19

Its a disaster l sigh

To God l cry.

Please help me

then l will see.

As l look to you

right out of the blue.

Healed of the pain

feeling whole once again.

Lord l thank you

for all that you do.

They say cannot cope.

But l have this hope.

Relaxed go for a stroll

knowing God is in control.

Things will turn out fine.

In this world of mine.

Job. 8-19. guilty

The accuser does come

says you are the sinful one.

Do deserve you know

a life full of woe.

Though I feel shame

forgiveness l can claim.

All have fallen short

of what we are taught.

I can only depend

on mercy in the end.

Lk 17:1-10

Careful you don’t preempt

and allow satan to tempt.

Blamed for causing strife

in another christian’s life.

Destroy and to maime

causing strife just the same.

Be prepared to always give

That others now may live.

Faith that will not miss

opportunities like this.

To see Gods power

his kingdom flower.

Could cause quite a fuss

but expected of all of us.

Ps. 115

God always has the glory

as l tell my story.

For whenever we do win

our victory belongs to him.

Our God has the power

no longer do l cower.

No other god the same.

Praise his mighty name.

Prov. 8:1-3

Wisdom is everywhere

no longer filled with fear.

Job. 5-7

As I grow old

I’m no longer so bold.

Weak before man

just do what l can.

Though seen so weak

it’s you l still seek.

Scorned as a has been

by the very mean.

Lord is this the case.

The life l have to face.

With thoughts full of doubt

is there no way out?

After serving you

in all that l do.

Perfect as can

like any other man?

Luke. 16:19-31

Right at my door

is the desperately poor.

Have l even noticed them

as focus on rich men?

For knew l could feed

meet their desperate need.

Why did you look away?

Will be asked one day.

When knew of their plight

in God’s sight.

By then too late

to alter their state.

Were not in accord

with the mercy of the Lord.

Ps. 26

Please declare innocence

l have caused offence.

Even when tried best

So often failed the test.

Redeem and please show

your love l do know.

Prov. 7:26-27

She has been the ruin of many.

Mar. 10

Job:1-4. Struggles.

Doesn’t seem fair

God doesn’t care.

Feel all forlorn

wish I. wasn’t born.

Now l have no hope

I just cannot cope.

But Lord does ask of me

Will you still agree.

Or faith so hollow

That he will not follow.

As others now blame you

because of what you do.

When really it is a test

of what you think is best.

Lk. 16:1-18

What is it that motivate

What do l cultivate.

Forgiveness for this man

That others become a fan.

For as l bless on earth

Gods kingdom sees new birth

Blessed not to follow law

First must help the poor.

For Christ does favour such

Careful to not lose touch.

Ps. 24

God is in control

as earth he does patrol.

To bless and to give

According to how we live.

Open heavens gates

For he controls all fates.

For l now must come in

And escape this world’s din.

Again don’t stray

from what bible does say.

Sunday 9th confession

Ps. 51. Mark 8:34-38

Have mercy O God above

In your infinite love.

You know all l have done

ashamed before everyone.

Since the very beginning

You have seen me sinning.

Done evil in your sight

You have been proved right.

You desire honesty now

That l could come and bow.

Please purify my heart

So l could be a part.

Though you should destroy

Restore me to my joy.

Any sacrifice l could make

Would only seem a fake.

Whatever l could do

Is nothing compared to you.

Brokenhearted I am

A desperate foolish man.

Though l expect

You never could respect.

Give me victory

To a sinful man like me.

Lord says take up your cross

Be prepared to take a loss.

That you have nothing to do

Your worthiness so few

Yet being recognised

And in heaven surprised.

First you must hear the call

follow me and give up all.

Ex. 39-40

We are clothed by the Lord

when we live in accord

With his intricate plan

A priest even as a man.

Bathed in a sense.

Of the Holy Spirits incense.

Lk. 15: 11-32

Despite having sqaundered

In life having wandered.

I will return

For I just yearn.

I would much rather

be with my Father.

Than starve with the pigs

in these terrible digs.

How great is his love

in heaven above.

To except even me

when brother does see.

A failed son

Not a celebrated one.

Ex. 36-38

An intricate design

This temple of mine.

With gold he gilds

Special purpose he builds.

God to glorify

My heart to edify.

Though world sees sin.

How precious to see

That you love me.

Now I know

Though should feel low.

The Lord will protect

with his powerful effect.

Others may tear down

But in the Lord I am found.

There to stay

They’ll not have their way.

Patiently to wait

It’s the Lord holds my fate.
