I live i in an alliance

With a world who lives in defiance

With what l know is true.

But what ever should l do?

For l am so weak.

It’s your wisdom l seek.

Strength to do what’s right.

In other people’s sight.

You have promised me.

That you will powerfully.

Fulfil what l ask.

That l might complete the task.

Left for me to do.

Where l can worship you.

With people who support.

Doing what they are taught.

Lk. 11:1-13

When l come to pray.

This is what to say.

Lord your name be kept holy.

May my world turn from foley.

Give today my food

Forgive my faithless mood.

As l would do to others.

Or be tempted by another’s

Lack of faith in you.

In everything l do.

For if l persevere

Daily in my prayer.

God will come at last.

Defeat will be in the past.

And Gods will will be done

With Holy Spirit and l as one.

Ps. 36

The world full of wicket people.

I often feel just so feeble.

Yet l know that all along.

My God is powerful and strong.

For in everything I see.

He is present with me.

Prov. 5:21-23

The Lord is on patrol.

Expects in me self-control.

Feb 19

Heb. 11-13

It is by faith l do live.

For Christ l know does give

All that l need on earth.

As he brings about new birth.

You know to whom you belong.

Now you must be strong.

Not falling away.

When tempted today.

You have come to an amazing place.

Where you can see God face to face.

From where Jesus looks down.

No longer by weakness bound

So listen to what he does say.

For this is the only way.

To always honour him.

In this life you live in.

Looking also to those.

Who God has now chose

To lead you in this life.

To persevere as you face strife.

Lk. 10-25-37

What is most important to do.

Lord when l want to follow you.

To love you and my neighbour.

Which neighbour should l favour?

Then you said you will see.

Those who have most need of me.

Don’t you be so proud.

That you can’t speak it out loud

And be seen to help them.

Though despised by some men.

Ps. 33

Let the godly sing with joy to the Lord.

It is right and fitting that he should be adored.

Sing and shout a new song.

For he destroys all that is wrong.

And he created all things

To his people he now brings.

Hope that we can now learn.

In faith to always stand firm.

Prov. 5:7-14.

Now you you are in this place.

Listen or you will be in disgrace.

Num. 6:1-21

Today if you make a vow.

Because ash Wednesday is now.

To bow to your Saviour

And change your behaviour.

It is a promise to record.

That you will live in accord.

With a special way.

Until Easter day

Mth. 4:1-17

Satan in the desert has tempted.

When hungry feel emptied

Yet l relied on Gods Word.

All I had learnt and heard.

Said get out of my way.

I will serve the Lord today.

Then return to my home.

Where really not now known.

So go to the place.

Which is in disgrace

To proclaim this is the day.

That the Lord will have his way.

Repent and you will know

God can lift you from feeling low.

Mark 2:18-22

Don’t do as you have before.

It is not just about law.

But you have new wine within.

Need to change your outa skin.

To contain and not now burst.

And quench your world’s thirst.

With compassion and love.

As you are led from above.

Heb. 9-11

We are now in new days.

Don’t dwell on the old ways.

Who followed those who lead.

To fulfil all that they need

So now come nearer to him.

For he dwells within.

This righteous temple of mine.

Before God I’m now fine.

So like men of old

My faith makes me bold.

To go where I’m told.

Lk. 10:13:24

What sorrow is due.

For those among you

Who refuse to believe

Despite all that you receive.

How blessed l am.

For l have been shown Gods plan.

To overcome.

The evil one.

To rejoice as now l see.

God even works through me.

Though so insignificant

Jesus alone is sufficient

Ps. 28

I pray to you Lord my rock.

That you are the solid block.

That I build my life on.

Who I can totally depend upon

Do not let me stray.

From your perfect way.

That l might have victory.

From worries of world set free.

With joy filling my heart.

As l see that l am set apart.

In the marvellous kingdom.

That Christ my Lord has won.

February 16

Heb. 5-6

Jesus is my high priest

Making me not the least

In Gods sight

That l now might

Be a priest to my self.

Not dependant on anyone else

For now l’m seen to be

Living righteously

Through Christ forever.

So that l shall never

Need be condemned again.

For he has taken the blame.

This l have long known about

So there should not be any doubt.

And as my faith does mature.

And l see myself as now pure.

No longer condemned by the law.

God does not see me as before.

For with Jesus as my high priest.

I will partake in the heavenly feast.

Lk. 10:1-12

Jesus has chosen to send me out.

So the world will learn about.

The blessings God can give.

In the place that they do live.

No need for me to prepare.

For I are under Gods care.

Many will come to accept

Others my message reject

But it is God who will judge them

Not for me to now condemn.

Ps. 5

Lord protect me l pray.

Be with me all day.

I wait so expectedly.

That l might now see

Your unfailing love

Through power from above.

For I know the enemy.

Will never defeat me.

Prov. 5:1-2

Gal 5:22-23. Deut 7:9 Prov 3:4 Lk 16 :10-12

Be faithful in all you do.

As God is faithful too

For you long have known.

That all your past has shown

His love and loyalty to you.

So you must show him this too

The large will come after the little

Faithfulness is not then so brittle

So then in God you can achieve

All that you always did believe.

Heb. 1-4

It is an amazing story.

That Jesus the son of glory.

Who created all the earth.

Came down to give birth

To our rights to be sons.

To be also righteous ones

Amazing but true.

We have faith in all we do.

That Jesus stands by our side.

In us his Spirit does abide

So we can in all things be bold.

If we do what we are told.

Lk 9::57-62

If l am to really enter.

Christ has to be truly centre.

Letting go of all else.

Tied to him like a spouse

All the latter

No longer should matter.

As l now determine

Not to limit him.

Ps. 149

Sing to the Lord a new song

For it is to him l belong.

Amazing though it may seem

On the king of glory l can lean.

That even l can be a part.

Because of his loving heart.

In defeating the enemy.

And setting this world free.

Prov. 4;25-27

Just look straight ahead.

To where now God has led

Here we again see.

The need for faithfulness in me.

For the day will come.

When the lawless one.

Will rule amongst men

To demand of them

To obey his ways.

Ignoring what the Lord says.

But be absolutely assured

Those who have endured.

Will see Christs return.

For rebellious to learn

His power and might.

Will win the fight.

Lk. 9:46-56

As we so often ask.

Who is best for Gods task.

He loves his child.

Gentle meek and mild.

Whoever does display.

Gods power today.

And just to leave alone

Those who oppose and moan.

About the direction you take.

For your destiny’s sake

Ps. 145:14-21

The Lord lifts those who fall.

In life’s work seem to stall.

But when there eyes are on You.

Lord you bless all they do.

You are righteous in all your ways.

I will praise you all of my days.

Above all else guard your heart.

Not just trying to be smart

1Thess 1-5

I have followed Jesus.

Have seen all he does.

Given my all.

That others may not fall

Now l am away.

Watching you join the fray.

Just remember all Jesus said.

Don’t follow world instead.

Be pure holly and upright

In your saviours sight.

For one day he will come

To take everyone.

It will be a surprise

For those who Gods word despise

But there will be no doubt.

He will arrive with a shout

So right now live lives full of love

As you think of the things above.

Lk. 9:37-45.

Came down from mountain height

Was confronted with a sight.

That revealed my lack of belief.

When could not heal their grief.

Then Jesus saw and did heal.

So now victory felt so real.

But then he turned and us told.

You will feel left out in the cold.

I will exalt God my king

For l see all he does bring

Great things into my life.

Delivering those in great strife.

Giving to all

Not allowing them to fall

Jonah. 1-4

When I hear what God does say

Yet l then try to run away

I will be caught in this great storm.

Desperate and all forlorn.

Then will be thrown out.

Because there is no doubt.

That my God was angry.

Disappointed in just me

But l promised to behave.

If only he would save.

From whale in the sea.

And now walk obediently.

Then saw those who I supposed.

That God should have apposed

Be released from sins curse.

Just made me feel much worse.

So l then just wanted to die.

But God came and said why?

When see so many hurt men.

Should l not bless them.

Lk. 9:28-36

Climb mountain with Jesus to pray.

To hear what God has to say.

Amazing it is what l see.

What was revealed to me.

It is too hard a tale to sell.

Only later will be able to tell

Lord l am calling to you.

As l desire my faith to renew.

Listen to my prayer.

You know how much l care.

Even if it be hard.

And l am dealt a wrong card.

Let my faith not be hollow

As l determine you to follow.

Even though others may scorn.

May my hopes be reborn.
