Gal. 1-3. (Paul’s walk.)

Law casts much doubt.

Faith is what it’s about.

Not on how I behave.

But on promise God gave.

For I know where I have been.

Gods salvation l have seen.

Was in such a desert place.

Where l had to face.

The sadness of my soul.

God then made me whole.

To preach to the lost.

No matter what the cost.

The religious could now see.

Gods power at work in me.

Mth. 18:21-25. (unforgiving servant)

When forgiveness l receive.

In Gods benevolence I believe.

Yet when I refuse to forgive.

Those who amongst l live.

What has made me free.

Is taken back from me.

Ps. 119:105-112 (the bible)

They word a lamp to my feet.

Your law allows me to keep.

On the narrow path.

With the word as my staff.

Though sometimes l feel sad.

God’s word then makes me glad.

Prov. 18:9 (laziness)

Don’t slack in Gods work

From truth do not shirk.

Judg. 19:16-21:25

Here we see sin again.

When evil causes shame.

Must root it out.

There is no doubt.

From assembly of our God.

Though infighting may seem odd.

So whatever does annoy.

We’re determined to destroy.

So perpetrators fall.

But not quite all.

Even though they’re to blame.

So they can grow again.

Mth. 18:10-20

When lost do go astray

Go find to lead the Lords way.

When brother in dispute.

Do not remain just mute.

For as you address.

It will be for the best.

Where two or more agree.

God comes and now sets free.

Ps. 119::98-104

Your word is so important to me.

For if I follow I can see.

All l need to do.

As l follow you.

Prov. 18:6-8

The lips of a fool bring strife.

Disaster follows their life.

Aug. 14

Judg. 16-19

See what happens when.

Led by strong self serving men.

Who go their own way.

Leading to a disastrous day

Doing their own thing.

Instead of Christ being their king.

Mth. 18:1-9

How can you tell.

When you are doing well.

When attitude is as a child.

Lowly meek and mild.

Then if in position to lead.

And cause others to bleed.

God will condemn.

Disaster for you then.

Ps. 119: 89-96

I now look and see.

Gods word is perfect for me.

His faithfulness on this day.

Leads me to say.

Though disaster it has been.

Now on him alone can l lean.

Prov. 18:1-5

No matter the platitude.

If have the wrong attitude.

Aug. 13

Judg 12-15

I doesn’t cease to amaze.

How he is with us these days.

When we have fallen away.

Comes rescues so we’re okay.

Even through a Sampson.

God appointed as the one.

Though everyone thought.

He could so easily be bought.

God then used an offence.

So couldn’t sit on the fence.

In a fit of enmity.

Confronted the enemy.

Seemed so contradictory.

Yet he led to victory.

Mth. 17:14-27

When we appeal.

Why can we not heal?

Lord says you must ask.

I am up to the task.

But because you do not believe.

It is impossible to receive.

Even when told sad news.

When think it’s not your dues.

And others do decry.

God always does supply.

Ps. 119:81-88

My soul faints with longing.

Don’t feel like I’m belonging.

The arrogant do despise.

I am nothing in their eyes.

Lord says I’ve not forgotten you.

In everything you do.

Prov. 17:27-38

Silence is the best way.

When refuse what you say.

Judges. 9-11

The world a constant fight.

To be righteous in God’s sight.

To lead or to be led.

Follow God or evil instead.

Cause so much despair.

When God is no where near.

Then one man will rise.

Who through God will surprise.

Come follow me today.

This is the Lords way.

To take away your pain.

To have victory again.

Mth. 17:1-13

What an amazing sight.

Fills us with such delight.

When see eternal glory.

Then see the whole story.

That God looks from above.

To reveal his great love.

Yet still here on earth.

Will be the pain of the new birth.

Eccl. 5:4-6

When you make a vow.

You must not allow.

Anything you say.

Get in the way.

Ps 119:73-80

Even as you have called me.

Lord help me to now see.

What l should do.

As l serve you.

That l might now lead.

And plant the new seed.

That flourishes and grows.

The goodness of God knows.

Prov. 20:25

Careful what you say.

Could catch up on you one day.

Aug. 11

Judges. 7-9

Unfaithfulness caused this problem

Now how can l overcome them.

Seemed in my very own way

I could have victory on this day.

But Lord wanted to show me.

He alone would defeat the enemy.

In secret get down and listen.

It will confirm your vision.

How to overcome in the fight.

In friends and the enemies sight.

But then see once again.

The effects of sins stain.

Causes even more disruption.

Death and destruction.

Mth. 16:13-28

The Lord looks down to say.

Do you worship me today.

Why do you tell of trouble you ask.

That should not be part of our task.

While yet favoured in my eyes.

Many others will come to despise.

Ps. 119:65-72

Do good to me as I have heard.

According to your word.

Others may struggle

The wrong path they follow.

But I have understood.

My God is always so good.

Prov. 17:24-26

When seek to be wise.

Deceit you must despise.

Aug 10. Sunday

Judges 2

To walk in the fear of the Lord.

Is to know he will accord.

New life when you say

Will you please save me today.

So you can rescue me.

I’ve put out a sign you can see.

Then when destruction comes

We will be the favoured ones.

Acts 9 :29-30

No longer the enemy spy.

For I am ready to die.

For now l have seen.

What victory in God does mean.

Now that Christ in me abides

I have completely changed sides.

July 9

Judg. 4-6

Again our eyes are off him.

Desperate are led into sin.

Captive to our mind.

No hope for mankind.

Then as l read Gods word.

Once again I heard.

Jesus Christ is with us

Why in such a fuss?

Go out there and defeat.

The enemy you will meet.

He has given a sign.

The risen Christ is mine.

Mth. 16:1-12

When you looking elsewhere.

For sign that God does care.

The cross Jesus died on.

Now risen can be relied upon

Don’t listen to what you hear.

That fills your heart with fear.

For you have already seen.

What following God can mean.

Ps. 119:57-64

Lord for all of my days.

I have considered your ways.

Have thought to follow you.

In everything l try to do.

For I see you give from above.

Your all encompassing love.

Ps. 17:23

Lord please cheer me up.

As l drink from your cup.

Judges. 1-3

Jesus our saviour seems gone.

Have to prove to who l belong.

Now to defeat the enemy.

And possess our land completely

Otherwise to idols we will bow.

That God has forbidden to allow.

So God will then once again.

Rescue us from the pain.

By men he sent to lead.

Deliver from our desperate need.

Mth. 15:29-39

Jesus left for another place.

To where desperate had to face.

Despair in total defeat.

For him their needs to meet.

Again he saw the need.

Gave the crowd a feed.

Victory for all in dismay

Then went on his way.

Ps. 119:49-56

Lord l remember your word.

That l have read and heard.

That supports me in life.

Despite others see strife.

As l go to war.

With enemies of your law.

I stand on your name.

In victory once again.

Prov. 17:18-21

If watch what they do.

Reveals motive to you.
