Sunday 9th confession

Ps. 51. Mark 8:34-38

Have mercy O God above

In your infinite love.

You know all l have done

ashamed before everyone.

Since the very beginning

You have seen me sinning.

Done evil in your sight

You have been proved right.

You desire honesty now

That l could come and bow.

Please purify my heart

So l could be a part.

Though you should destroy

Restore me to my joy.

Any sacrifice l could make

Would only seem a fake.

Whatever l could do

Is nothing compared to you.

Brokenhearted I am

A desperate foolish man.

Though l expect

You never could respect.

Give me victory

To a sinful man like me.

Lord says take up your cross

Be prepared to take a loss.

That you have nothing to do

Your worthiness so few

Yet being recognised

And in heaven surprised.

First you must hear the call

follow me and give up all.

Ex. 39-40

We are clothed by the Lord

when we live in accord

With his intricate plan

A priest even as a man.

Bathed in a sense.

Of the Holy Spirits incense.

Lk. 15: 11-32

Despite having sqaundered

In life having wandered.

I will return

For I just yearn.

I would much rather

be with my Father.

Than starve with the pigs

in these terrible digs.

How great is his love

in heaven above.

To except even me

when brother does see.

A failed son

Not a celebrated one.

Ex. 36-38

An intricate design

This temple of mine.

With gold he gilds

Special purpose he builds.

God to glorify

My heart to edify.

Though world sees sin.

Now I know

Though should feel low.

The Lord will protect

with his powerful effect.

Others may tear down

But in the Lord I am found.

There to stay

They’ll not have their way.

Patiently to wait

It’s the Lord holds my fate.

Be always aware

Others don’t really care.

Mar 6. Journeying

Ex33-35

Lord has said now go

To the place I will show.

You must hear what l say

If I’m to show the way.

Bring all you have just now

Then l will show you how.

when you live in accord

With the holiness of the Lord.

Recognise your sin

Yet desire his spirit within.

Then come to a holy place

I will meet you face to face.

Come to me and see

How l can set you free.

You must recognise

The Lord does despise.

But Lord does only see

In his amazing mercy.

That we are Gods child

No longer are defiled.

Not now need all that talk

Just have to walk the walk.

For God has a plan

To uses this talented man.

To make a beautiful thing

Of the riches we do bring.

Lk. 14:24-35

To follow Jesus does cost

Things we value will be lost

Need to realise

In this walk to finalise.

And be the salt of earth

A new creation in new birth.

Tues 4 Mar. kingdom living.

Ex. 28-29

So holy is our Lord

Now we can live in accord.

With what we are told.

As we dress in gold.

Honour his awesome might.

If to be seen in his sight.

All we do.

Will come into view.

As we praise him,

Who our salvation is in.

Lk. 15:1-14

Careful it’s not all show.

Proud of what you know.

Blinded from doing right,

In a God of mercies sight

To heal and restore,

is purpose of the law.

I do wonder?

Often ponder

Do I always seek,

To serve the meek.

Only reward I can expect.

Will be in heaven met.

Ps. 106:1-23

Give thanks to the Lord

He is to be daily adored.

We honour him today.

He always has his way.

And all we understand.

As we rules the land.

Allows us really to be,

With him on earth virtually.

In Gods kingdom,

that he has won.

When I look back

I never suffered lack.

He rescued me

Allowing to cross the sea.

To the promised land

Where I now stand.

Be very careful to do what is right

in God and man’s sight.

Philemon 2

Obey and honour his name,

is really the same,

as it shows my heart,

That I’m really a part,

of Gods kingdom.

Obedient to his Son,

and when on display,

others will say.

There goes a man,

who is part of Gods plan.

Feb. 27. Another chance.

Exodus. 16-18

A long journey of dreams,

Impossible it sometimes seems.

Constantly see trouble,

That burst my bubble.

God inclined to blame,

Much to my shame

Forgetting what went before,

Knowing so much more.

He meets my every need.

Even telling me how to lead.

Luke. 12:35-48

Always I must be ready,

Trustworthy and steady.

So that when he comes,

He finds faithful ones.

He comes today to give,

That I might live.

Faithfully stand tall,

To what he does call.

Psalm. 66:13-20

I must honestly say,

Lord heard me that day.

I came and did confess,

He said I will bless.

So I can loudly proclaim,

Give glory alone to his name.

Proverbs. 6:23-25

Corrective wisdom

a way of life.

When in trouble

keeps out of strife.

Feb. 26. provision

Exodus 13-15

I’m on a mission

See Gods provision.

Escape, protect, supply,

When think going to die.

Then he enables to win,

Dance and sing to him.

Luke. 12:22-34

God always supplies enough

so don’t worry about stuff.

Does it really matter?

All you do is get fatter.

When think so smart.

Put horse before cart.

Where is your treasure?

That reveals your pleasure.

Psalm. 66:1-12

God constantly does amaze.

My heart full of praise.

Supplies all we need.

As we follow his lead.

Proverbs. 6:20-22

Keep his words constantly

in your heart.

That is a great start.

Feb. 25. One way

Exodus 10-12. Escape Pharaoh’s hardened heart with thanksgiving sacrifice.

Finally Egypt will really see

Affliction and total misery

They could no longer ignore.

The amazing things they saw.

For God did protect

His people he did select

Sent them on their way

This was their day

Sacrifice then made, you ask why?

An innocent lamb did have to die ?

I too was captive and lost

Somebody had to pay the cost

Christ came and amazingly

He too died to set me free

Luke 12:13-21. (you fool don’t worry)

Like bees to honey

Infatuated with money

Controls all you do

Gets you in a stew

But the day will come

Realise you’ve not won

So now I seek you

In everything I do

My heart so full of fear

Yet know that you do care

Problems you help me to face

For I am a child of yours
