A walk in the garden
April 3.
A disaster it did seem.
That Christs life did mean.
Ridiculed and destroyed.
Because man was annoyed.
By the righteousness of him.
Who Gods salvation was in.
Though he was so wise.
The world did not recognise.
But his day will surely come
He will be King of his kingdom
All men will realise.
It’s our righteousness he buys.
Lk. 23:26-49
As we watch on.
Asked to take Christs cross upon.
Our shoulders too.
His sorrow to view.
For we too watch how.
The world’s cruel now.
Lord remember me.
May I in your kingdom be.
Forgive me for l killed you.
My failures in full view.
Yet amazing it is to see.
From law you set us free.
The curtain is torn.
Sun to rise on a new dawn.
Ps. 22
It is on good friday l see.
When God seems to abandon me.
When l will call so desperately.
Why won’t you now set me free.
Despite my sincere belief.
I find just no relief.
My hope is in Christ alone.
For he now sits on his throne
Though once scorned and mocked.
It was he that came and unlocked.
The doors of heaven.
Despite those bulls of Bashan.
That would tear me down.
I feel like I could drown.
Others look down upon
All my strength is gone.
Yet even as I sadly sigh.
I know he hears my cry.
It will be seen even now.
I will fulfil my vow.
And before him I bow.
Others do too somehow.
