Jere. 10-13
Everybody lives in fear.
They all think disaster near.
Get their highs in sport from.
Favourites supported all along
Honouring the very rich.
Hoping to satisfy that itch.
To forget what life’s about.
True faith now, full of doubt.
There then comes a day.
When the Lord seems far away.
Forgotten all he has done.
In history, victories won.
Though constantly we rebel.
Jesus came, so he could tell.
Look to me and l will bless.
Come now, just you say yes
Though men do plot against me.
Even from my family tree.
For world has lost all hope.
Rich and famous cannot cope.
The church that was well used.
Ignored now, or even abused.
What we had always understood.
Wasted away, considered no good.
Because the world so unclean.
One day disaster will be seen.
No longer feeling so bold.
Happened just as has been told.
Mark 16:33-47
Darkness and destruction.
Cry to Lord for instruction.
The whole world seemed to me.
Totally lost essentially.
For Jesus Gods only son.
No longer appears to have won.
As he died there on the cross.
And we all saw our great loss.
Saddened we can only mope.
But somehow still had hope.
Past buried there in a tomb.
What future now does loom?
Ps. 17
Lord l come to you and plead.
Help me in my great need.
You have seen and do know.
I have taken such a blow.
Right from the very start.
You have examined my heart.
So help me to come clean.
Now on you, alone to lean.
Prov. 14:13-16
Even in laughter, heart will ache.
Look to Lord, for goodness sake.
